3000 for 3% is a good deal for start up imo. Would have to come out too 100k total value For the dr to break even
That's a great offer, but make sure you write a solid contract that doesn't give him too much sway over things even if just 3%. Best of luck in everything you do with this!

He will be like a silent partner if I accept his offer. Till today I evaluate it in terms of hours i.e. 2880 hours of work (4 people 8 hours 30 days * 3 months)

You can't really evaluate it by how much hours associates spent in it. Try to base it on how much you expect to sell it for/how many customer you will have the first year without this investment, and multiply it by 4 or 5
Let me give you a straight answer,

Doctor is surely impressed by the hardwork you do and offered you the money as help and as far as I can see he's not looking to make any profit but didn't wanted to just handover the money either because then people seems to not understand it's value.

I would suggest you to accept the proposal and never let him down. Make sure to give his part back and return the money when you are financially well and capable of doing so.

It could be good or it could be nothing. Even for a startup. Some needs few thousands, other dozens of thousands

Yeah Not sure what your point is? that 3k sure would help a lot more then 0k if you needed dozens...

Well, accepting this offer to value your company at 100 000$ could be painful for him if he wants to value it higher later on while not having made any big improvement, because if an investor would want to invest 20 000$ he would refuse anything under 20%. And if you need dozens, only take the 3k if it can really help you get the rest.

But all of this depends on how much OP value his company.

He can always raise the value for future investors. Just because the first one got 3% at 3k doesn’t mean he has to keep that ratefpr future investors if he feels his company is worth more

It will close doors. The future investors would either feel like they are being taken for clown if there is no major improvements but seeing a higher valuation, or they would think that the owner is dumb about accepting the 3k offer for 3% if it should have been 1 or 1.5%. He can't just raise it like that, they know how to look at numbers. (Even worse since the 3k will only provide money, any investor bringing money and knowledge/network would ask for a higher cut)

If an investor think their being taken a clown because someone thinks their company is worth more now, doesn’t seem to really understand investments imo. Why would you be mad that the company you’re buying. A piece of has gained value in the past?

Because nobody likes to be undervalued, and it's even worst for investors.

He went to see a doctor and the doctor wanted to give him money. Seems like it's not dangerous for his health 🙃
