Dropped phone in water.. is it dead?

I have an iphone 8 plus.

So I have my dog bowl beside me on the floor and I had my phone on my bed. So I guess I did something in my sleep and my phone fell down and into the fucking water side of the dog bowl.. OF FUCKING COURSE. It didn't have much water in it so I would say there was only about an inch of water that the phone was in. The inch of water was on the side with the charge port and the phone was at arou 60 degree so it was standing up slightly. It turned off and it was full battery so it has something to do with the water. Is my phone fucked? Or is there a way to save it?

Plz
I might have a suggestion, but it's a little unorthodox.
Do you have a newt eye and 4 spoons of cinnamon?

It happened to me before my 1 yr old kid have it on the glass of water and I didn't realize it at once when I see I turned it off at once then wipe it out.

I have to put it on a box and cover it with rice...I didn't open it up to 24 hours to see if it's still working...luckily it works but somehow you'll see a spot on the screen that somehow a sign of being soaked it in the water.

The rice trick definitely works. My little sister's ipad fell into the bath tub a few nights ago. We put it in rice overnight and it turned on perfectly the next morning.

Yeah but somehow there's a spot where you can still see that somehow it was being soaked and I guess it needs a replacement of lcd.

Have you tried putting it back in rice for a good 72 hours?
You should put your phone in a bowl of rice

Oh no brother...when I get it out of the box of rice and see it's working I just let it go and never have it back :)

hahaha I was in a need of my phone then so I'd rather used it the way it is lol
I accidentally dropped my phone in a bowl of rice and left it in water overnight, there were still a few grains stuck inside but other than that it worked fine.
