Alright so the other day I dropped my friends iPhone X by accident and there a pretty big crack at the bottom.
I looked up how much it would be to repair and it was around $300 and I offered to pay it at the moment and she said it's all good accidents happen, I didn't have to pay.
Now a few days later she needs new tires for her car and is asking for the money. Is it right that I do that? I'd rather just pay to fix her screen.
Maybe she has insurance for her phone and therefore doesn't need the money for it?
how good of a friend is she in your opinion?

Nope she has no coverage but it didn't seem like she cared much about the screen but now needs the money for something else, not sure if it's right that I pay for that

Be a bro and replace her screen for her, plenty of places at the mall can do it usually.

I'm sure you can find it for cheaper than $300.
If a woman in any situation says no to your offer to pay for it, man the fuck up and pay for it anyway. This applies 200% if you actually care about this person.

I would say that's a weird gray area because if you offered to pay something and she declined, but later asked for the money for something else.... ehhhhh.
But I mean, how much are the tires? If they're not very expensive and she's a close friend, is it worth the issue if you were willing to pay the $300 just the other day? Maybe she's not worried about the crack right now because she's having financial difficulties but doesn't really want to talk about it?
If she's well off and fine with money but asking you to pay for something you had no part in, I'd decline. But maybe it's worth the extra convo to figure out why she wants you to pay for something you have no connection to?

$300? WTF kind of pricing is that? I paid $~70 for my phone, find elsewhere
Either way, I think you should at least help her out with the payment, even if it's just %50, only pay what you can afford, if she's really a close friend she will understand
Get her new tires if you have the money and she is a close friend lol
Tell her you'll pay for a new screen - just ask if she'll let you get it cheaper if she hasn't already replaced.
LOL the difference in cost of tires vs fixing the crack is a big ass one. That's crazy.
IF anything, chip in the $300 towards tires, but fixing the phone would be ideal.
Shit, iPhone X screen replacements here are 400+
$480 if you have something like the XR Max.
Don't be a dick, pay her up. She was generous enough to let you off the hook, then when shit goes south for her you're gonna just blow her off?
Karma points, good luck.
Do the right thing.
