Anyone made a career change/dropped out of uni?

I recently dropped out of my MBA to learn a trade. Learning metal working atm.

Wba you guys?
Not done anything like that myself but I wish you the best of luck, must be quite scary to make the change.

Did you have friends/parents that are against it/advised you not to?
University? Never heard about this pokemon.
Currently doing my lowkey irl shit
I dropped out of community college because my professors were worthless, I wasn't learning anything, and I felt like I was wasting my time. Hit a ceiling in my career (computer industry) that could either be resolved with a degree or years more of experience, decided to get my undergrad and am working on my masters now.

Everyone in my life advised against it, called me crazy and called it a stupid choice. Only person that actually supports it is a friend of mine and my girlfriend.

That's tough, good to hear you have some people who support you though. It's not always easy to find people like that.
my older brother dropped out, his junior year. This was like 3 years ago, he's been working minimum wage jobs ever since. Kinda sucks... but oh well its his life.

Going for my MBA. Did you not enjoy it?
I'd rather have graduated with an AAS than study my way up to a MBA and drop out.

I've seen this happen too many times. Dropping out is too normalized by a lot of people in power.

You need a backup plan for your backup plan if you're going to consider dropping out.
Nah I've managed to resist dropping out of uni. May make a big change by pursuing a economics degree instead of going into employment when I finish my international relations degree.

what did your bro major in?
I dropped out of community college, and for a s*** reason.
I think people thinki about "dropping out" so retardedly. Like I don't see why people are dropping out when they have no plans for the future or anything. Like I get it if you have a really good side hustle and making good money or even building an app or anything. But just dropping out to "work a minimum wage job" while playing games is plain stupid, no offense.

This. You need a good source of income with backup plans and investments you can live off of for at least 6-12 months.
