What a clown show we live in today, we've got white saviors like the RGB and anti-hero destroying local businesses because they wish to protect a crack head with a knife.

If you have a guy sprinting at you with a knife and you have a means to end his charge wouldn't you try to use it or would you rather try to calm him with soothing words then get a knife to your gut.

send two cops with riot shields instead...

Only way to "end" crime is to revert to the old days where mob bosses actually had control of organized crime and worked quid pro quo with enforcement.
Situations like these are spontaneous and happen out of nowhere, riot shields and anything of the sort isn't "standard" equipment either, could that change? Possibly.

Regardless, this was 100% a justified shooting.

Not sure what else is expected when you charge a cop with a knife. Maybe if you’re lucky he uses a taser but if an officers life is in danger it is justified to use deadly force

Tasers don’t always work, trust me.
Baggy clothing = even less chance.

You also have to be within 7-15ft (roughly) for a good probe deployment.

We don’t shoot to kill. We shot to eliminate a threat. Sometimes 2 rounds gets the psychological compliance needed. Sometimes it takes 17 rounds to get the physiological effect. Police aren’t trained to “shoot to kill”. It’s “shoot to eliminate a threat”.
