I had read somewhere the other day that Omni stated that HF needed to makeover but he wasn't quite ready to do that. I'd like to make a suggestion to that makeover for whenever it happens.

I completely overlooked the `Web` tab when I made some threads awhile back.
Maybe the Web Tab would be better next to the `Tech` and `Code` tabs to keep subjects consolidated. Right now it is sort of isolated on its own.


And while on the subject, I'll peel another layer of the onion:
Swap the `Life` Tab to where `Hacks, Exploits, and Various Discussions` is on the main tab. Keep the main tab for general conversations and announcements, then have the next tabs as: Hack, Tech, Code, Web.

Realistically, you could also combine web into another tab that exists as well. It is a small enough to do that if you wanted.

GFX is sort of that odd ball out; think it's fine where it is.

imho, Hacks, Exploits, and Various Discussions belongs on the front page because its colorful amount of subforums and eyecatchers.
Either this, or the market place--the most active piece of the forums.

Other than that, Your suggestion seems logical.

HF needs some serious restructuring. Just not ready to pull the trigger.

I am definitely ready for this! But unsure yet if this will be a minor or major restructure (design) change of HackForums. If it is minor I assume this suggestion can maybe apply in some minimal type of way, but if it is major, who knows if we may still have tabs!

I am definitely looking forward to his decision! :3

Despite the name, I am willing to bet over half the members on this forum have never done any form of hacking. A good portion probably have not written a single line of code in their lives and don't intend on doing so. HackForums is much more than hacking.

That doesn't take away from the fact that it is still literally Hack Forums. Not Lounge Forums.
