How's Life?

Life is funny and seems to find the humor in my life every day. At the moment working my ass off and dealing with some things I've pushed off for a while.

Just do your best and make sure to fear God above all things.

Same :| And I pulled an allnighter last night for the first time ever at my new job. Let's see how well my brain works :D

I feel that! Just remember, a little bit of focused hard work now can be a major blessing for the future. That's what keeps me going.

How's life been for everyone? I haven't been active here for about 6-7 years and I'm considering coming back since I am nostalgic for the old days but I also understand that they will never come back. I joined HF when I was about 14-15, and now I'm 30 and had no clue how much of an impact this community would have on my life.

I initially joined in order to 'lrn2hack' (lmao). I learned how to use Havij, learned about shells and of course social engineering. Around the time I stopped participating here, I started working for HostGator where I became a "Linux Security Engineer" before they got bought out and I went to IBM Cloud (SoftLayer at the time). Working there, I learned all about network engineering, software engineering and general systems engineering during the 'cloud boom' when only Amazon and Google were major players. IBM bought SoftLayer and I got to witness the RAPID deployment of a cloud platform on top of the core SoftLayer API and was in awe at the efficiency of the development teams working on the projects. Then IBM bought RedHat and I got to work with some of the most technologically advanced people I've ever interacted with. After leaving IBM, I now work at Mimecast and get to answer a ton of noob questions regarding SMTP and social engineering to people who make much more than I do >: [

I doubt many people here are from my era, but how's yall's lives going?

You have an impressive career track, bro, it must have been an interesting experience working with such experienced people in this profession. At the moment, I myself work for a pharmaceutical company, but I am still looking for a better job.
This place could be yours, click here for details. 📢
Struggling bro. Things haven’t been the same. Been praying. I admit I cried at night. I don’t know if that makes a less of a man. But I been trying to kill my ego.

Thats doesn't sound too bad either tho. The best way to learn any kind of worthwhile computing is to get certifications. If you have no certifications you could usually apply as customer support for an online company which opens the door to more opportunities as you have to deal with the same system every day.

Damn bruv, that sounds harsh. No clue what you're going through, but hope you get through it.
good except for the allergies, man.
it is fine...just a bit bored.
Glad to hear that you've accumulated such knowledge. You're still only 30 so you've most likely more time to learn and prosper!

As for me I'm in my 20's. Trying to find a place for myself in this world. I have a few ideas, at the moment though, I'm just trying to save up money.

I'd like to say that I've found peace to be honest. It's still somewhat a struggle, but that's life right?

I wish you luck bro!
Nothing yet...

Wow, that's long time ago. Thanks for the memories.

There is no way you're the real Chief™, I cannot believe it :O, everyone is coming back it seems 😲
It's been pretty uneventful for me, just going with the flow of day to day things to do, while also trying to diverge a bit with some creative hobbies here and there.
yeah I had an account here years back. I was 13...now I'm 24. Crazy how fast time flies. booting kids and stealing accounts was the good ole day.
Life is good smoking cigarate atm
Going pretty good lately. Pretty mundane, but no complaints here.
