Generally browsing hf is pretty safe. I do it at work all the time (hide the logo though).

Certain activities that you might partake in here could lead to real life legal issues. It's something you should be weary of.

The only issue in just being a member here that I'm paranoid about is crossing the border from Canada to the United States, simply because Federal investigators in the US have investigated and indicted members of this forum for their activities on here. If they seen hf on my phone I'd probably be interrogated about my activities here which is a reason to be paranoid. Even though I don't partake in anything illegal here or anywhere.

The average age of the 8th grade is 13–14 years old, this would mean, that in the worst-case scenario, you are now 22/23.
If you are actually scared to stay on a forum that is available on the normal web, you might as well cancel your internet subscription and go prepping for a nuclear war.

This basically. It was a lot more Wild West back in 2008-2012 but major changes were made. It’s a place of learning and chilling, not illegality.

You are safer here than any other forum of this kind, the owners and teams keep it clean from blackahat activities, here we all come together to solve solutions or create new ways. It is a community driven powerhouse, safe and much better than those crazy sites you are looking at via Tor... a.k.a the "dark" web 😆
