Old policy...

New policy....
Well, just go read it yourself. Very simplified.
Marketplace Violations
Basically same rules, explained simpler, and Contracts will be encouraged but not required. You won't get closed for dealing off-site anymore. I may have gone too long on that one. I tried to get adoption of the Contract system but overall I think it's been a mixed success.
I assume a lot of sellers are going to rejoice at this.
Scams will happen with and without contracts. You spent too much time making this complex system and people still fail to use it correctly. Better use it on something else.

Just to verify:
Quote:3. Vouching - Unless you are an HF Contracted customer with an attached TID in the Contract, you cannot vouch for the seller, product, or service.
This is still in effect?
I can already see a bunch of vouches come in from people thinking it's not.

For anyone reading this,
Quote:5. Only HF Contracts can be disputed in the Deal Dispute forum.
USE CONTRACTS!
Also that's the only way to get B ratings as well.
I will NEVER DM you first on Telegram/Discord
Always confirm you are talking with me on site using PM. Always use contract. I do not do currency exchange/gift cards/AGC.

Yes, that is still a policy. I don't want a fuckload of fake vouches from their buddies in groups (talking to [mention=4227846] )

We got rid of Zeus, it just took 4 years.
We can get rid of Scrub just give us a few more years and he’ll be closed with his buddy Zeus.

Less overhead for you I imagine?
If only we had a central thread, all in one easy-to-read place, where we could catch up on recent HF changes.
You have a central section where all new information and polices are posted. Or were you being cheeky about HF News? Nothing stops HF News from being a thread btw.
And the reason is partially less overhead but also because if 0 post members members can't communicate on-site, they have to go off-site. And what I don't want to do is punish sellers if a Contract isn't created. This might open up some members to off-site scams by seemingly reputable members but that existed anyways.
I just don't see the need for the policy right now. Less policies are better. Have you not noticed the purge of rules on HF lately? I got rid of every forum section rule for instance. I wish HF could be overall less than 10 rules and everything otherwise enforced by coded features.
For what it counts, I think you did an awesome job with the contract system. I'll still continue to use it and require my customers to. I think it's a solid way to track business history.
Although I do feel good about this change because some of my services like SMMking has repeat customers and they don't make new contracts for each order so I was nervous about something happening where it's seen as dealing off-site.

Well thank you and correct, I'm trying to get past the nervousness of using HF Contract system by easing many restrictions.
But the smart sellers will want to use HF Contracts so they can get B-Ratings. The smart buyers will want to use it to make sure they can open a Deal Dispute. The scammers will continue to try and avoid it.
i think contract system is still the best option to get your self High rep and high sales but i can understand your point and agree with it

I'm still confused and don't get the point. I think the contract system is awesome and brilliant and I still think it should be compulsory? I guess maybe closing someone who made an honest mistake of just not being with it could be too harsh on occasion. But I suspect most people trying to talk someone into not using the contract system just want to scam you off site. I had a Leet lying to me that Leets weren't allowed to be part of contracts at one point in the beginning. He was lying that only Ubers dealing with Ubers could make contracts for some reason.
I will still use it honestly. Easier to track and all win win for both deals. Dispute and B-ratings.
I like this change.
Yeah, most of us will definitely still use contracts for "manual" deals like exchanges etc.
I can see it being punishing for sellers who sell eBooks or anything that has automated delivery really.
New members might find it confusing to go through all the contract process, so this will definitely help the marketplace. That's my honest opinion
I'm so unsure about this imho. Contract system was one of the best changes you've bought in for HF, Omni esp when it was mandatory.
Mixed emotions about this, but all part of the larger plan I suppose.
