You guys may know my son @opsecsurvival@
In the early hours of the morning, while most adults are still in dreamland, @opsecsurvival@ often up and ready to start their day. They might be watching cartoons, or as @opsecsurvival@ noted, they could be starting the day with a Wiggles concert or a Paw Patrol marathon. This is the calm before the storm, as I are often still in the process of waking up and getting my bearings.
Breakfast time can be a mix of joy and challenge. @opsecsurvival@ might be enjoying their favorite cereal, or perhaps they're having a standoff with me over the merits of eating something other than Fruit Loops. This is a time for family bonding, or in some cases, a battle of wills.
After breakfast, it's time for school or other educational activities. This is where @opsecsurvival@ learns the alphabet, the intricacies of finger painting, and the art of not eating the glue. I might be helping with homework, or I could be trying to explain why the sky is blue for the fifteenth time.
Lunchtime rolls around, and @opsecsurvival@ might be trading snacks or comparing their lunch boxes. This is also a time for socializing and learning the fine art of sharing (or not sharing, depending on what genetics he got from his mother).
The afternoon might be filled with extracurricular activities, such as sports, music lessons, or even a good old-fashioned nap.
Dinner time is another opportunity for family bonding, as well as a potential struggle over the merits of vegetables. I might be trying to sneak some nutrients into @opsecsurvival@ meals, while the kid is busy trying to sneak their veggies into the dog's bowl.
After dinner, it's time for winding down and getting ready for bed. This might involve a bath, some storytime, and perhaps a bit of negotiation over how many more minutes of screen time @opsecsurvival@ can have.
Finally, @opsecsurvival@ is tucked into bed, and the house is quiet. I can finally take a breath and reflect on the day's adventures. But before I know it, the sun will be rising, and the cycle will begin anew.
And that, my friend, is @opsecsurvival@ day from morning to night. It's a journey filled with laughter, love, and a healthy dose of chaos.
