I don't follow Tezos much, but after a quick Google search, it could possibly be due to these two factors:
1.) Tezos (XTZ) Launches In-Game Advertising to Bring in the Revenue: Quote:Tezos recently announced a partnership with Renovi that will enable in-game advertising on all games built on the Tezos chain. This will include Tezos-backed on-chain analytics and a wide range of monetization opportunities for Tezos gamers. If it takes off, Tezos could well rally back above $1.42 in the coming weeks. 2.) Tezos co-founder: Trump victory has led to 'unfettered enthusiasm' for crypto: https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/other/te...ocialshare (Nov 18, 2024 10:56 AM)Cooligan Wrote: I don't follow Tezos much, but after a quick Google search, it could possibly be due to these two factors: Neither of those should be a spike of 57%.

I've always [mostly] liked Tezos. Tezos getting added to Coinbase was one of the wildest trading periods of my life.
Fun times trading XTZ with Orgy Spoiler (Click to View) https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?ti...id61736030 Anymore, Tezos is growing more and more obsolete, I'm no longer a holder. I think the Tezos Foundation have fumbled the bag enough times for me to have lost faith with what they're trying to achieve (fun fact, they're one of the largest BTC holders). However, Tezos have always taken decentralization seriously, they have been at the forefront of PoS development since the beginning. Just wish the chain was more capable. On topic: No idea why it's spiking. Edit: During the initial spike, almost all of the trade volume was out of South Korea. Other markets have caught up now that Tezos is hot, but this spike was largely due to the Korean market. Still don't see any news as to why though.
Maybe whales accumulating. Most cryptos have pumped in the last 2 weeks. I don't think it has to do with any fundamental changes.

In these euphoric markets there's always a random shitcoin that has a massive spike out of nowhere. Why do you think its different this time with Tezos? I concur with the above. That's not an endorsement, I'm just saying I haven't seen anything to indicate to me that Tezos isn't a serious blockchain. Even if the team hasn't exactly lived up to their initial hype. Their explorer imho is one of the best. https://tzstats.com/ They could push with some funding and the right partnerships. Just curious why they popped so hard. No answer really, just a mystery to solve. Market manipulation pump...maybe? Likely the answer but it seems out of character.

The Tezos Foundation have, at my last check up, 20,000 Bitcoin. That's nearly $2b they have sitting around just in Bitcoin. They also have massive stacks of both cash and XTZ tokens. The issue is, the Tezos Foundation flat out refuses to spend money to support their ecosystem, and when they do, it's on dumb shit like Formula 1 sponsorships. In the grand scheme of things.... holding the BTC was probably the right call. They may not have set their coin up for success, but they've made an absolute killing holding this BTC. I think they're still within the top 10 of BTC whales (or just on the cusp of it). (Nov 19, 2024 09:54 AM)Omniscient Wrote: I'm not sure Tezos is a shitcoin. Well that's actually very interesting because it means they can swallow up any token they want, manipulate the market, or simply execute a massive reorganization with new devs and marketing team. A $2b warchest is huge. They don't even have to worry about XTZ's price if it's in BTC. I gotta think on that. |
