Gears Of War: Reloaded Facing Steam Crashes And Matchmaking Problems
Gears of War: Reloaded, a remaster of the 2006 original game, launched this week--but it didn't go over entirely smoothly. The PC version currently has a "mixed" review rating on Steam, with people reporting crashing issues pointing out how the game is missing things like an FOV slider. Some issues have been reported on console as well, including matchmaking problems.People are also calling the game out for its lack of split-screen co-op on PC, a feature they say was advertised as a selling point (this is no longer listed on the Steam page, however). In a social media post, Microsoft said its teams are "investigating crashes on Steam when launching." The company said it's also looking into issues relate to missing preorder character skins and matchmaking problems.Continue Reading at GameSpot

Thankfully most of these issues seem like things that should be fixed and fairly quickly, maybe some of them already having even been made better as of now. The one thing that does stand out is the lack of split-screen coop on PC if it truly was an advertised feature. Granted, if it's just a bug or something along those lines making it not possible and it really is meant to be there, that too will naturally be fixed. I'm a big Gears of War fan and the original was always my favorite. I don't know how much multiplayer I'll get into when I inevitably pick this game up, but I know I'll love playing through the campaign again. I imagine I'll even do so twice. Once on a lower difficulty and getting all collectibles, random achievements, and just generally taking it all in on a pure enjoyment level. Then a second time on insane, the hardest difficulty, to relive that experience again lol and get those related achievements too.
The launch seems rough, but once the crashes and matchmaking issues are fixed, the campaign is still worth a replay.
Been a little over a month now since this released and so I was curious to see what people were saying on steam. Both recent and overall reviews are mixed and while it doesn't seem like there are as many complaints regarding crashes and multiplayer related issues, there definitely are still some. Whether it's actually more of a widespread thing, I can't really tell, but I'd like to think not. I do know multiple updates have released for the game since launch and that have address some of this stuff or at least to a degree.

I hear so much static about this. I can't get a precise answer on this.
I haven't played Gears of War in so long 😭
That’s disappointing news. The game had so much potential, but bugs are holding it back. Hopefully, patches will make it playable quickly.
Definitely played this a lot when I was younger, cool to see an remastered that's out
I always find it funny that these big game names can't even handle a flawless launch. I mean they have the resources, they know the attention it's getting & with IAAS how are they still struggling?

They have so much support and experience. That’s such a good question, you’d think they would learn from the past

I know right? I have experience the same with World of Warcraft at every big launch or even update. It was a shit fest every time.
I mean cmon now! You knew this would happen!

You would think a game this size would be more prepared.
Gears of War was so awesome when it came out. I was a fan of the first and second. Not so much the third. I don't know if it's a game I could play again though, it feels so clunky.
Looks like Gears of War: Reloaded has big issues on Steam and consoles. Fans disappointed, and Microsoft needs to fix fast to keep trust✌✌
Loool.
And this game is coming to Playstation. It better not show bugs. Playstation hates it.
