I totally agree with you.
Ub3r members think they're SUPER TRUSTED just because they donated $30.
If you have 250+ rep, I see you as a trusted member...if not, you're a regular user.
end of story...

I find this entire conversation interesting as back when I was more active here Uber did not exist it was just l33t and thats it. Since then Omni has obviously added alot of other groups. I honestly have no idea how to even get Uber though I am quite interested in doing so. Back on topic however....
Some points to note.
Omni has a no BS attitude so anyone with a Paid Membership here is less likely to screw you over as they went through a sort of screening with omni to buy that membership.
Those who can afford to buy things are usually more trustworthy than those who can't. I know this is hard to explain really but fact is a rich man is less likely to steal $5 our of your wallet than a poor guy.
Finally I find your argument less valid as your not Uber yourself thus only speaking from the biased view of the other side.
Just thought I would chip in my two cents...

You can't really just say "would you trust an ub3r with $200" as ub3r is a very broad spectrum. It depends on which ub3r. As for me I would just ask around to see if the person has done any deals and followed through before, or to see if he/she has scammed someone.

You don't know which uber is the right one. Just because they have done deals with $200+ and no scamming reports doesn't mean that they will be trusted again... People can change and sometimes uber's account gets hacked...
Why is everyone beating him up over this?
He's right to be honest, I don't go around trusting people just because they're ub3r.
I also don't think he's trying to go around beating up ub3rs, he's just saying don't trust them just because they're ub3r.

It just means they are MORE trustworthy. And if they change or have been hacked that's your shitty luck.
Also @ the person above me, if you look through his threads he scams people all the time.

(Quote for extreme truth.)
I don't trust anyone especially not Ub3rs. I'm ashamed to be part of a group with so many scammers.
I agree, if i started to buy on this forum, I would be so cautious it's not even funny. Even if it was just up to $50. It's still somewhat a large sum of money.
Not all ub3rs can be trusted. And yes it is really easy to get rep on here.
On the other hand, the majority of them can be trusted. You just gotta watch for the jackasses on here.

I agree with you and disagree with you.
Ub3r members cannot be compared to regular members. They are the high point of the community and have earned their spot on the Ub3r group. You make it sound like being Ub3r is nothing at all and there is no difference. I am not saying there are no scammers in Ub3r, because quite frankly I think there may be even more. But you also have some Ub3r members that High Quality members and have earned everything you see on their profile.
I do however agree with you about the reputation and posts. People get reputation for no god damn reason. Some people will go out and positive rep for having negative rep, which is honestly the dumbest thing I have ever came across on HF. And yes, people can spam to get a higher post count, but use common sense and check their posts before buying from them.
i totally agree with this. Look at my rep, i'm at -3, that was because of some "important" über who was selling steams, i wanted to see pics of them so he did send me. i wasn't looking for any of those games, so i said no thank you and he -rep'd me. i was like wtf and everytime i try to buy/sell anything people want sell/buy because of that. I think that's shitty because of an "important" über who i wasted 2 minutes of his live..
sry for my bad english.
i also disrespect the übers for -repping this guy, wtf he just don't like/trust you. is that a reason to -rep?
