I like how the forum tries to stop you from repeating characters, writing the word bump and other such things. I mean, you'd think actually banning people who abuse it would send a pretty strong message without fucking over people who do legit things like posting indented code. I still find the concept of a 'coding' forum that bans repeated characters including whitespace hilarious. Soon they'll ban you from using certain letters because of the high ratio that they appear in spam phrases.
Thanks for the books, I'm trying everything I can to help me learn C++, I am going to be a video game programmer so I just wanna get a head start before college :)
And I understand your plight about people constantly asking for free stuff and help when they join and have 2 posts, and it happens every single day in your favorite section :( Come to the 360 section once and a while, it gets pretty bad there as well :/

Are you on about that 'nothing' that contains Effective C++, More Effective C++, Effective STL, and Thinking in C++, which are widely regarded as authoritive texts on the matter? I thought people like you strangled yourselves on your umbilical cords in the womb. Obviously I was wrong. |
