Today we had about 90 minutes of downtime. MySQL basically crashed. Good news is that it had not crashed in 46 days. That's great. The crash today was because MySQL and our ever growing site demanded more resources. Our DB is over 5GB right now and seems to grow at nearly 1GB per month. I estimate 3-5 months and I'll be forced to upgrade our MySQL server to something very expensive.
Right now I'm watching it closely but I think it will be fine.
Sorry about the downtime. I wasn't home this afternoon.
btw I'll be catching up on orders and my PMs this evening so please be patient.
Thank you.
Just good to see that were back up.
Longest downtime ever..seemed like forever!

I was wondering what was going on. Well thankfully you finally got it sorted out.
Thanks for getting it back up quickly. Looking forward to the time when HF needs to upgrade, would be glad to throw some more cash to the site!
2 episodes of cleveland show, 2 episodes of simpsons, one episode of family guy.
I was warped into fox anyways.
Right on Omni.
:)
I am sure people will donate to help you pay for it. :)
Glade we're back up, 1 GB a month, God damn.
Wow, 90 minutes of not having HF = around 2 episodes of CSI. (:

Would it be possible to mod mybb to run across 2 sql servers, putting <SQL heavy thing #1> on 1 server and the rest on another?
