Yep, that's why people shouldn't buy a product that's been out for a while, even if you buy the "lifetime" edition, the program can still be terminated by the creator.

Lets take a booter for instance, you can buy the login (because that's basically what you're buying) and it can remain valid for as long as the booter is alive and still has support. When that product has outlived it's usefulness (ie: the owner can't make anymore money from it, and it'll end up costing them more to keep it going) they will terminate it.

Great post orgy, but the only bad thing I think about the whole "lifetime" use thing is that when the product is about to be terminated, the owner should contact the clients saying that service will be ending shortly so they get a heads up. Plus, although most people should understand how the term is used, it still can be misleading because most people will not understand that it is the product lifetime. This is why the creator of the program when selling it should state that the lifetime use edition is for the lifetime of the product, then there won't be any discrepancy over the whole lifetime thing because you clearly stated what it entailed.

Just like life time hosting, exactly the same thing, yet every one thinks life time hosting is a scam. See where I`m going with this? Regardless of what it means, it's a shady term. Take offshore for example, offshore could mean a million things, I could offer hosting anywhere in the world and it could be offshore technically. People should really use common sense when buying something, all it would take is a simple question to see what lifetime means in their perception. I don't really recommend buying any kind of service lifetime. What if you bought lifetime "Spreading" and that meant when ever you continued to spread. So technically the person could stop spreading at any time and it could still be valid, since lifetime means till the object continues. Would that be considered scamming if the person stopped 1 minute later? It would more be like horrible business practice.

IE: I think lifetime products is a bad idea. I wouldn't buy anything lifetime.
