Harmless yet annoying virus help

Hello HF,
I have found a few .scr files that I can't get rid of. They take the form of shortcuts to my docs, my pics, my music, my videos, and a txt doc called my passwords. I have deleted them but they reappear later on. I find these folders all over my network, clients, and removable media. When I investigate them the target is 'D:\lgqig.scr'. I have used several anti-viruses and cleaners but nothing fixes it permanently. If anyone has experienced this same problem I would appreciate it greatly if you told me how to get rid of this.
Thanks in advance for all your help!

Hi,

Please read and follow this and a trained HJT Helper will be there to assist you. Remember to describe your problem with as much detail as possible. Paste the logs at PasteBin separately. Post links to all logs in a new thread at the HijackThis Log Analyzer and Tutorials Section.

Thank you
I think some of the files might also creeped into system folder & into startup service program files, so even if u delete them they copy themselves again. So, try deleting all the files related to that by searching with that extension. Note, the scr file is also related to screen saver files. But by your description, it is probably a virus, I also suggest to use anti-malware programs like malwarebytes & Spybot, Search and Destroy which are excellent in removing malware. A boot-scan of all the drives may also help. But ultimately any virus infects the system files, system services(files) that load up early in the booting, it is higly recommended to re-installation of the OS, it may not be the case with you. Refer to this Link what lgqig.scr file can do.
