US Sailor Busted Naked in Manga Cafe

Following the numerous incidents of US military personnel causing ruckus in Japan, a US sailor has now been arrested for lurking naked in a Yokohama manga cafe in the middle of the night despite a military-induced curfew. According to Kanagawa prefectural police, 23-year-old petty officer third class Oscar Weigle, serving aboard the American nuclear carrier USS George Washington, was reported for indecent exposure in a central Yokohama manga cafe. This has raised even more understandable doubts in Japan as to how rigorously these military restrictions have been enforced.

He had arrived with another 21-year-old serviceman at midnight, and the pair had each retired to individual booths. Wiegle however disrobed in the booth and around 3:15AM started wandering the corridors of the establishment naked, and to add injury to insult relieved himself there in the corridor between booths.

The man claimed to have urinate there, but by no means be naked. The US military says the incident is under investigation.

Evangelion 3.0 Sells 2 Million Tickets

This is going to be a short snippet of news; but since the release of Evangelion in cinema's, it has sold over 2 million tickets, making it one of the biggest sellers ever. All of this impressively in 9 days. Grossing over 2,858,126,200 yen (about US$34,740,800), the highest grossing film now being knocked off it's perch, with selling and earning similar results but within 10 days. Is this really going to be the best Evangelion yet? It seems like its with all the popularity it's getting; now just to wait for the wonderful subs so all us English speaking folk can watch it.

As a comparison; 3.0 has already earned double what Evangelion 2.0 had earned around this time of the year, with 2.0 eventually earning 4 billion yen. Have fun.

Also, a sneak preview of a 1 minute music video:

AnoHana Film Preview Released

A 15 second clip of the much anticipated AnoHana clip has been released and has brought tears to many members... even me. The preview was streamed late Friday and has been getting a lot of attention. With the due date of the film to be released next Summer, maybe it's time to rewatch the series? If you already haven't; you must. One of the greatest animes for me, will bring a man to tears and on to his knees, begging for more.

The website also posted a new logo and announced the first batch of advanced tickets will go on sale between December the 1st to the 3rd. For those who wish to know; the film now follows Menma's point of view of her tragic story and should show a better insight to what happened and why. All I know is I'll defiantly be watching it.

Enjoy the clip, and try not to cry. ;-;

Yui Hirasawa's Birthday

The birthday of K-On's Yui Hirasawa was celebrated ardently as usual last Tuesday, both in real life and online alike by the Light Music Club's innumerable fans. It is evident that even though K-On has ended, the show's fame will not wither any time soon.

Some may say creepiness, but I mush admit I would flip out my inner otaku and celebrate as well if I had any merchandise 😊 Long live K-On!

Steins;Gate Fuka Ryōiki no Déjà vu 2-Minute Teaser Trailer Streamed

This Saturday a 118-second teaser trailer for the Steins;Gate Fuka Ryōiki no Déjà vu film launched it's debut streaming from the Japanese production company Kadokawa. This sequel to the widely-known 2011 Steins;Gate television anime series will open next spring in at least 30 theaters across Japan.

Only the thought of having to wait until spring is enough to make me shed tears. The excitement and anticipation for this new film has without a doubt reached a world-wide magnitude, hopefully AA being no exception.

AKB48′s Yuka Masuda Quits Over Sex Scandal

AKB48 member Yuka Masuda was forced to quit the group in scandalous circumstances after the outrageous revelation that she “stayed the night” at a man’s house. In a post on her official blog, the 21-year-old idol admitted that she “had stayed the night” at fellow entertainer ISSA’s house, and pledged her complete retirement from AKB48.

There was an article about me in a weekly magazine yesterday.

It said I stayed the night at ISSA of DA PAMP’s home.

Some things in the article have no basis in fact, but it is true I stayed the night at his house.

To my supportive fans, team members, staff and family, who have all been greatly disappointed by this, I must apologise for my rash actions which have caused so much trouble to everyone and been so widely misunderstood.

I’ve been worrying over what to do from here on, and although it is sudden I think I must retire from AKB48.

To quit like this feels inexcusable, I’m really sorry for all my fans.

To make matters even worse, there is also further outrage at her choice of illicit partner – photos of her with ISSA and his clique show him to have been a choice almost calculated to aggrieve her creepy fans with his outgoing antics and winsome looks.

Obviously, this is not in keeping with her official image of being a pure and unsullied maiden serving only the needs of her dear fans.

OMG YES DID NOT KNOW THAT <3!!! I take back my old comment, Thanks for the amazing news!

[Iquoris]

What do they do to 'punish' U.S. sailors in the Okinawa base? It seems like every week one of our men get drunk and go do some stupid shit like this, and they just get a slap on the wrist and a 'No! Bad U.S. sailor!' And then they just get set free.
