In an effort to minimize LQP and also Rep Whoring we are disallowing "Post to PM" style threads.

We already disallow it in a few sections but this is now site-wide.

A new report reason exists. Please report only new threads. Staff will do it's best to close existing threads that violate the policy.

I ask members that if you have this type of thread already that you either close it yourself or edit the thread so that any "Post to PM" remarks are removed.

Anyone violating this policy will get a 25% warning that expires in 2 weeks. So you don't want to violate this policy.

What you can't do:

1. Offer, require, or suggest a user post in order to get a PM.
2. Say "post and I'll PM you".
3. Say "Post to get a PM".
4. Say "if you post I will send you a PM".
5. Say "please post and you will get a PM".
6. Say "Post required to get PM".
7. Say "Post to get download link".
8. Say "To get download link please post".
9. Say "Post to get the ebook".
10. Say "Post here then I PM you".
11. Tell users in PM..."post in thread and I'll send you link".
12. Say "Reply and I'll PM you".
13. Say "If you reply I will send you a PM".
14. Say "Only those who reply will get a PM".
15. Say "Post and PM me"

Is that any more clear?

What you can do:
1. Say "PM me for info".
2. Say "PM me for more info".
3. Say "Send me a PM for download link".

100% of course. This is a sitewide rule without exceptions. Ebooks are actually target threads that we want to stop the LQP.

If you offer something there is no reason to say "PM me if interested". A required post to pm is ridiculous and LQP.

What members should be doing is posting download links and eventually I'd love to require it.

Fair enough, does cause a bit of a spam.

Glad to see this passed also, less waiting time for certain ebooks/programs/etc, although the number of leechers will increase and people will get less credit for there work 🤐 let's just hope some people have morals to say "Thank you" C:
