Nvidia cards are not good at bitcoin mining. This was probably just to test out 4 way SLI using Titan.

I think most people get AMD cards for bitcoin mining. I believe the 6850 is the most popular, but I'm not sure.

OpenCL on AMD cards is a lot better for mining bitcoins than on NVIDIA cards (Added because Neobdragon is a picky bitch 😝), whereas CUDA (NVIDIA) is pretty shit for it.

Like the others have said, it's probably just for benching purposes.

Bahahahaha! The GTX 680 is a much more efficient card, and will beat the 7970 under the same specifications. It actually provides nearly the same performance with worse specifications. The 7970 just offers the same relative performance for a smaller price tag... the GTX 680 is the fastest single-GPU card in existence, other than the GTX 780, of course :-)

I am no fanboy. I like AMD, I like NVIDIA. But NVIDIA has more efficient cards that perform better at the same specifications. AMD offers less efficient cards that perform better at the same price.
