I barely ever use photoshop :L And when I use it, it has never been to make gifs. I might be using it in the very near future now that I know I can make gifs in it though.

Yeah, Photoshop is great for making simple animations such as a shinning effect like I did here.
Or you can make even greater animations like this loading circle one. (CLICK)
