Recovery Mode

I have bought an unidentified tablet. The seller called it a Flypad.

At startup I get: Boot into recovery mode...
Android OS 4.0
Kernel 3.0.8
Build Number v1.3.0

Holding the volume up button and the on/off button results in: Are you sure system recovery?
Long press power button again in ten seconds

With a long press of the power button: Recovery confirmed
Boot into system recovery mode

Any help appreciated.
what does it say in recovery? Does it allow you to reboot to home screen?
it says whats after the colon in the original post.

Since then I have read that if the correct firmware image is put on a sdcard, recovery will automatically start. I haven't been able to find the correct firmware though.

Thank you.
To get the correct firmware you will have to try identify what brand or model it is, is there any serial number on the back or anything to help identify it?
There is a stick on label on the back. Looks to me that a repair shop put it on. Anyway the info on the label is:

Serial numbe
0003240397

Model
SQT Flypad

Thanks.
I could not find anything on your tablet, sorry i cant be of more help, Funny enough i was given a device today with a similar problem it is an android tv box stuck in cwm recovery and i cant get it out of it either.
Thank you.

Have you got Android Debug Bridge installed on your PC?

Google adb shell commands. Using some of those commands I was able to eventually restore another tablet.
I have tried using ADB but it keeps booting to recovery
