On the heels of Burger King who released the Kuro Burger in September, McDonalds celebrates Halloween by releasing its Squid Ink Burger. The burger, available in only three prefectures around the country, is being sold for 370 Yen (roughly $3.42). The burger consists of two patties topped with fried onions and cheese inside of a black bun. This isn't the first time that McDonalds has added items to its menu to fit the season. With the coming of cherry blossoms in March of 2014, the company released a sakura flavored burger in celebration of spring.
Universal Studios Japan to open a new Evangelion attraction in January 2015
Following the announcement of the One Piece theme park being built at Tokyo Tower, Universal Studios Japan announced that they too will be building an anime-inspired attraction. The Evangelion attraction is set to open on January 23, 2015, and will feature the latest 3D imagery technology. More information about this limited-time attraction will available be made in November 2014.
According to an announcement by the Japanese company Jins, JINS MEME, a pair of glasses that can track your eye movement, may be coming out soon. By tracking your eyes, the glasses calculate how much physical and mental strain you are currently experiencing. As a result, they are able to tell you when you are too tired or too sleepy to be working. An app that can track and display changes going on inside your body in real time is able to be connected to the glasses. Some statistics that are monitored include calories burned, posture, and speed. Although Jins has not announced an official release date set, some reports say that JINS MEME could come as early as spring 2015.

This weeks Cosplayer is from RZCosplayers. Reve has decided she would Cosplay as the Nine Tale Fox from Million Arthur MMO card game. Personally, I have never played the game, well, haven't played it yet but I can already say it is one of the cutest Cosplay I have reviewed. It seems like RZCosplayers have really talented people working behind the backline, the makeup artist as well as the Cosplay compiler/creator has done such a terrific job. You can already tell that the materials used are of very nice, subtle quality. The amount of detail that went into it is unbelievable, every single frill and gem is in place.
Reve is an extremely beautiful girl as you can see, has one of the cutest smiles that brings out her Cosplaying potential. I didn't use any smiling pictures for the sake of presentation, but her smile did brighten up my day. Reve is a little different from regular Cosplayers however, she generally dyes her hair instead of following up with a wig. This makes it look all the more natural.
Currently, the photographer is not named but it is a team member(s) from RZCosplayers. They have a small team that works behind the backline as mentioned before. The makeup artist really knows how to bring out the cute side of Reve, the photographer has captured the perfect angles to show off Reve as well as her high quality Cosplay.

Synopsis
Kuroki Tomoko is a super popular high school girl who has had 50 years of dating experience and 100 boys... in the Otome game world. In the real world, she is a 15-year-old shut-in who has all of the qualities of a "mojo" (a gloomy or unpopular woman).
However, when school isn't going as she expected, and she isn't as popular as she had thought she would be, she takes a look at herself in the mirror for the first time in a few years, and has some shocking revelations...
Characters
Tomoko "Mokocchi, Momoko-chan" Kuroki
The protagonist of Watamote. She's bad at talking with people, nonetheless she wants to have friends and even a boyfriend. Unfortunately, her appearance, shyness, social anxiety and lack of experience in communicating with everyone but her own family don't really help Tomoko make things better. She finds entering high school as an opportunity to change her life and make a lot of friends, so she keeps trying to do everything to gain attention of her new classmates. To no avail because she doesn't follow through with her plans and would often end up procrastinating.
Tomoki Kuroki
Tomoko's younger brother. He is very reserved and more of the "straight to the point" kind of person. He has very little patience when it comes to his older sister who causes him very common annoyances. Growing up he seems to have forgotten how well he got along with Tomoko as he became more responsible and social than her.
Tails' Opinion
Honestly, when Programmar said that his choice this week for review was Watamote, I can say with confidence that I wasnt thrilled. Watamote in my opinion is an average at best show that was only popular around AA when it was airing because it was so cringe-worthy it was notorious. The story holds no weight and is kinda stupid. That being said it has a slightly realistic touch to it that at the very least salvages it. Realizing it now I think the entire show is a satire of teenage girls, but I still hate it. I give the story a 4/10
The characters, or should I say character because there is one main character and about 40000 supporting characters according to MAL, is where we discover how bad shows can really be. Honestly watching what the main character does throughout the entire show gives me a headache. Like I said above, I think its a satire of teenage girls so what do we get? A good candidate for least favorite MC of all time. Hated her. Didnt much mind the rest of the characters and they definitely were a buffer between me and the MC. It wasnt enough though. I give the characters a 3/10.
The art style used was moderately displeasing. It wasnt bad per say its just not likeable in my eyes. You can see in the character pics above that they have these bags under their eyes but I think they are the only ones with it so it makes it awkward. Overall, I guess it wasnt too bad, I just really hated that aspect. I give the art an 6/10.
The enjoyment is the only thing I can say is a positive about this show. Their is some good humor throughout and a quirky "how bad will she be next time" appeal where youll either be uncomfortable or laugh hysterically. Unfortunately this show made me unconfortable, however it didnt really ruin my enjoyment of the show. A collection of the above ruined the show. In terms of enjoyment I give it a 5/10

Synopsis
In the medieval fantasy world of Alfheimr, succubus princess Astarotte Ygvar, the first princess of the kingdom of Ygvar, has just reached the age of 10. For the coming years of a young succubus' life, it is necessary for them to have a male harem. In order to maintain their body and preserve their beautiful appearance, they must consume a substance only found on males. This substance is a liquid called "Sauzfryma", better known as semen. The princess, however, bears a great dislike against men, and only agrees to create a harem if a human male is to join.
In the human world Midgar, young father Touhara Naoya is greeted by a suspicious lady one day who claims that she is a fortune teller. She also claims that she can help him find the "perfect job" for him. Even though it seems suspicious, he accepts the free consultation in order to support himself and his young daughter. After meeting in the park with the suspicious lady a day later, he suddenly finds himself in Alfheimr, a medieval fantasy realm located on a different world. The mysterious lady uncloaks her true identity as the Head Chamberlain of the kingdom of Ygvarland. He is then lead to the palace of Ygvarland, and there, the "job" he accepted was finally revealed; he was to become a human candidate for princess Astarotte's harem.
Characters
Is it really that hard to put on cufflinks...
Naoya Touhara (塔原直哉)
The main character of the series. When the Yggdrasill tree activates and allows one of Lotte's servants to enter the human world, he is taken back to become the first member of Lotte's harem, much to Lotte's annoyance. He encountered Lotte's mother roughly eleven years ago when he was 12, and then again a few years later when she brought him Asuha, his daughter from said encounter.
"Hey Asuha"
Asuha Touhara (塔原明日葉)
Also known as Asuhariet Ygvar, she is the daughter of Naoya. She was given to Naoya by her mother to take care of claiming that she is their child when she was around the age of 3 years old. Naoya accepted and took care of Asuha. Despite living in poverty, she was happy to be with her father. Asuha also believed her mother was dead at the time...
One Frustrated Loli...
Astarotte Ygvar (アスタロッテ・ユグヴァール)
The succubus and the heroine of the series. While only 10 years of age, Astarotte is told that she will need to begin building a harem because when she fully matures, her body will require a regular supply of semen to keep from wasting away, much like a vampire requires blood. Unfortunately, her mother's extreme excessiveness has led her to develop a fierce hatred and disgust toward all men. Astarotte demands that the first member of her harem be a human from the human world. Knowing that the Yggdrasill tree connects them to the human world (and has been dormant for years), she hopes her demand would allow her to avoid the task entirely. She has no idea that her best friend, Asuha, is actually her older sister Asuhariet.
Vandie’s Opinion
So when I saw this as the last item on my list I got very exited. After all, I loved the anime, and generally the manga is better than its anime adaptation (unless it was made after. I'm looking at you, SAO). Anyway, I picked up Rotte No Omocha and began to read. The Story was actually quite interesting (as well as slightly different from the anime so it doesn't matter that I watched it first). Within the manga, you are constantly shown how each character is feeling which makes it easier to relate to the story and it allows you to get completely sucked in to the world of Ygvarland. However, the story is fairly simple and not at all difficult to follow. You can sometimes tell what will happen which can make the story slightly less enjoyable than if they made the story a little less obvious, but credit to Yui for she has made an incredible impression on me with her slightly ridiculous if obvious story. The story gets a decent 8/10
The characters are also very interesting. They all have there own little quirks that make them more engaging to the reader. The personalities are all very different, but they complement each other extremely well. For instance, Asuha is very manic and hyper but is kept on track by her young but very calm and collected father, Naoya. There are very few characters that could be omitted from the story as they all play an important role in the story. They all certainly make the reader want them to achieve something. The characters themselves have some very conflicting goals, but they all manage to play into the story quite nicely. Because of this, the characters get a level headed9/10
So after reviewing a few manga with absolutely abysmal art, I am pleased to be reviewing something that pleases the eyes to read. It's simple but beautiful, and for an ecchi, there are very few panty shots and innuendos. Even though one of the characters is obsessed with panties, the manga manages to stay quite decent in that regard. The buildings within Rotte No Omocha are imaginatively drawn as are the characters. Nothing seems out of place (well maybe an unexplained eyepatch, but that's just nit picking) in the art and as such... The art gets a well deserved 9/10
Overall the manga was an enjoyable read that left me wishing for more, however, as it is completed, I doubt we will be seeing any more of it any time soon. The writer has left a great impression on me by creating a very respectable manga that has little to no fanservice and also very few flaws within it. I am very pleased with it and if there were a few less problems, it could have achieved a seal of approval, but unfortunately, it has not made it quite to those dizzying heights but... Overall the manga has achieved a high9/10
If you want a manga reviewed please send a pm to vandie. We have still yet to receive a request and as such will give a shoutout to the first person to send one in. We don't have list of what you like so why don't you learn that if you don't ask then you won't get.

Synopsis:
Roughly 16 years after the people who emigrated to the Moon had settled themselves.
An age where a great number of people are chasing their wild dreams within the great skyscraper at humanity's frontier.
A young boy named Haru, born and raised on the Moon, is one of those people chasing his wildest dream.
His dream, is to stand where no man has before.
In order to do so, he needed capital. A ludicrous amount of capital.
The boy named Haru was facing a place that gathered up people's desires. Sometimes it granted them, and sometimes it crushed them mercilessly.
There are only two key rules that govern that land.
The first rule, is to never take a loss.
The second rule, is to never forget the first.
Only those who followed these rules were able to obtain enormous wealth.
The stock market.
A place that has gathered crowds of persistent men and women for centuries.
Story review:
World End Economica is a visual novel series that was launched in 2011 in Japan by Isuna Hasekura: the creator of the beloved Spice and Wolf franchise. It should be noted that this is a review for part 1 of 3. Part 2 and 3 are not yet translated but they are in the works. World End Economica follows a runaway nicknamed Hal who dreams of wealth. His plan is to use his considerable knowledge of the stock market to ascend to the top of the glass towers that light up the Moon’s skyline. However, his plans become complicated when he is sheltered by a kind, altruistic woman named Lisa and another runaway named Hagana. As their lives begin to intermingle, Hal’s greed takes a back seat to a life where money is both the cause and the solution to everyone’s problems. Maybe, just maybe, Hal can be the hero Hagana and the others need. Or maybe he’ll live just long enough to see himself become the villain.
A vital character is Lisa. She is an anachronism: a Christian who loves books living on the Moon. But because of Hal’s corrupted worldview, she acts as the story’s moral compass. Her presence is what forces our protagonist to evolve and while she isn’t constant throughout the game, most of the first act would have been painful without her there to verbally spare with Hal and urge him into friendship with Hagana.
Hagana is this game’s biggest mystery and it is the longest thread left in the wind. Her history is hinted at, but never verified. She is a runaway like Hal, but also a mathematical genius who sees no way to use her talent in the real world. And while I love the way that her character changes (more on that in the P&G), the fact is that by game’s end we still don’t know a lot about her. While I don’t think she’s an atypical tsundere character, a lot of those tropes are used in her portrayal. This makes her simpler on the surface, however we know there is a LOT more going on that we just don’t get to see in order to keep their relationship a simple teenage love story.
Sound:
The soundtrack was a little below average. While there where several parts of it that sounded good (especially the Big Bull Cafe theme). opening song just has a great feel to it that may be more in line with more action-oriented entertainment than the methodical tale World End Economica sets up. However the ending songs just didn't seem that great.
Art
Unfortunately not every ‘vital’ scene has CG and that matters more on Hal and Hagana’s relationship. As I said, it is far from the keystone of this story, but there are some moments that where passed over in favor of other CGs. SMALL SPOILERS!Spoiler (Click to View)Things like their first kiss and what not that varies on importance depending on who’s playing. It didn’t make a difference here, but since their attraction plays a role in the story, showing them more intimate instead of, saying, screaming and crying at one another would have probably satisfied a few unsatisfied customers.

Overall Satisfaction:
While there where some annoying parts and lack of CG, I think overall this wasn't so bad. Just remember this is part 1 of 3, with part 2 and 3 still being translated. So you won't be able to play the entire thing as of right now. Story: 8/10 Sound: 8/10 Art: 7/10
(Click to View) Angel: Hey Bezo, how are you this afternoon?
Bezo: Pretty tired, I came home from work a few hours ago. How about you?
Angel: Well that's not good. I know the feel though as I used to work ten hour days. I'm doing well, college always stresses me out a bit. Well to start things off I would like to get to know you better. So,
why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself if you don't mind?
Bezo: I'm 17 year old senior in high school and I work most days after school to pay for things I WANT to get. My parents help me with what I need like tuition and things but besides that, I pay for everything else myself. I watch a lot of seasonal anime and I don't mind following them weekly unlike others who enjoy binge watching shows. I enjoy reading a lot more than watching as I get the context of what's happening in the current scene more clearly. I binge read more often than I binge watch.
Angel: Cool, I also have to work for most of the things I want in life, except the necessities which my parents provide for. Well since you like to read more than watch, let me ask you what your favorite manga is?
Bezo: At the top of my head, the one manga that definitely stands out above all others I have read is Berserk. I love how the mangaka/author deals with tough topics like religion and some dark themes like the idea of evil.
Angel: As I'm not a huge fan of manga, Berserk is an anime I've wanted to watch for a long time now. Before we move on, I wanted to ask if you've seen the movies (I think they're a remake of the original series?) and your opinion on them?
Bezo: Before answering your question, I recommend checking out the manga of Berserk as compared to the anime. The anime, in many of the fans' opinions, does not do this series justice.
As for your question, sorry but I have yet to see them. I'm not big of a fan when watching anime movies. I normally just watch the series and maybe a few OVA's here and there.
Angel: Ah I see. The reason I asked is that I heard they were actually really good but yeah lol, I just looked up Berserk on MAL to see that it's the number one ranked manga. From what I've heard, the new Tokyo Ghoul manga is supposed to take a different route than it previously had. What are your opinions of the direction the author has decided to take? I've yet to get around to reading the original but I still plan to once I get some free time.
Bezo: I think that the author did a somewhat decent job at creating a 2 part-er manga. This is how I see it, Tokyo Ghoul is meant to show how the 'Ghoul World' works. The manga, Tokyo Ghoul, was mostly in the perspective of the ghouls while the new/sequel manga of Tokyo Ghoul (Tokyo Ghoul:RE) is in the perspective of the investigators. I believe that the author is trying to show the struggles of both sides and the importance if there is no co-existence between the two. If there is co-existence between the two, it will just continue with the death of loved ones on each side.
Angel: When you put it like that, it doesn't sound bad. Now, I know you had a Tokyo Ghoul discussion thread that got pretty popular while the anime was airing. Is that something you watched or just stuck to reading the manga?
Bezo: Yes, I've read and watched Tokyo Ghoul. I enjoyed both the manga and anime but if I had to say my thoughts honestly, I think that the anime of Tokyo Ghoul did not hold up to the standards that most of the viewers had, including myself. If I had to choose between the two I would still choose the manga. The manga did have a letdown ending, though.
Angel: Sticking with the topic of Tokyo Ghoul and since it was the victim of heavy censoring, what is your opinion on anime that receive heavy censoring?
Bezo: I honestly hate how some series like Tokyo Ghoul and Terra Formars get censored so bad that you don't even know what's happening anymore and it's basically a black screen. I believe that the censors for Tokyo Ghoul will be lessened or removed in the Blue-ray editions so I'm relieved to hear that. This may go a little off topic from your question but, I wonder why Parasyte which has more gore and violence (imo) than Tokyo Ghoul ISN'T censored...
Angel: Kiseijuu (or Parasyte) is being produced by Madhouse who is famous for producing anime with little to no censoring. I assume the censoring of certain anime takes place because of the network that the anime airs on in Japan and their regulations (don’t quote me on that as I’m not sure lol). I didn't actually realize how bad the censoring in TG was until a saw a picture comparing the censored version to the non-censored. If I remember correctly, the Blu-Ray release isn't supposed to have any censoring though. Going back to when you said you don't mind watching anime when it's aired weekly, are there any currently airing anime that you are keeping up with?
Bezo: Yes, quite a lot actually. Here are just SOME of the ones I am currently watching: Psycho-Pass 2, Hitsugi no Chaika, Shingeki no Bahumat, Akatsuki no Yona, etc...
There are currently more but I have yet to add them to MAL as I'm not sure if I'm going to continue them. Also, forgot to mention Fate/Stay Night, as that is presumably one of the best this season.
Angel: Yeah I feel like this season is pretty solid overall, have a lot of shows with decent potential. I'm only watching three currently put there are several that I'll try to pick up once they finish airing. Recently, there was a thread created in AA about what anime character that you loathe, so let me ask you, are the any characters that you just absolutely can't stand?
Bezo: Not sure if you're following Psycho-Pass 2, But I really dislike the character Mika Shimotsuki. I dislike the fact that she disagrees with EVERYTHING Akane says/orders. Just in-case you don't know too much about Psycho pass, another character I really can't stand is Ten Ten from Naruto. She is the absolute most USELESS character ever. All she can do is throw/summon weapons. She is irrelevant from the very beginning of Naruto even though she is a side character.
Angel: I haven't watched on of PP2 but I do remember her from the first season. Not to hate on you or anyone else, but I think every character for Naruto is useless :P Well that's about all the time we have, it's been my pleasure speaking with you today Bezo. Concluding this interview, is there anything you would like to say to our readers?
Bezo: Not much, I would just like to thank you for giving me an opportunity to be interviewed. Good Night :)
Angel: No problem, I hope it wasn't too boring. Night dude.
Gaming News!
The Gaming News will be opening next week, we had a small in the road and will be delaying it. I will be writing for the section till we can find a Writer. If, however, anyone else would like to take over this position, do let me know! We are in need of staff as a few people had to step down due to the start of the new academic year, if you think you can cope, let me know via PM or posting below.
What do you want to see?
Since this is a community driven Weekly, we need the feedback of our community to keep it successful! Let us know what you would like to see, the chances are that if the majority agree with you, you'd get to see the section of your choice! So let us know what you want to see, what you dislike, what can be improved and so on. We just want to keep our readers happy, I'm pretty sure everyone on the team would agree.
I know that the Black Burgers are probably a seasonal thing but doesn't that lower business a bit, even if it is Halloween? It almost looks like moldy bread...
I actually read from 1-current AA Weeklys during my lecture one time, it's nice to see member written content lol. Hope we aren't disappointing you, Happeh or Hime. Would be so cool to get a sticky for a directory of all the weeklys imho, I don't think Omni would approve though.
(Oct 28, 2014 07:18 PM)Tasemu Wrote: Haha man the nostalgia. Nah you guys are doing good. I like how anyone can pick up AA weekly. Its working really well. :)
(Ill ask omni about a sub-section but i doubt it)
Thanks. Sub-section is probably a wee-too much. If he says no, a sticky would be good enough.
(Oct 28, 2014 07:30 PM)Tasemu Wrote: A sticky requires me to change it every week. Thats asking more than the section lol. ^^
I meant a sticky just for the AA Weekly directory, that way we have a small archive and if people miss one, they can always find it within the sticky as well as any previous additions. I thought that would have been a decent idea, what you think?
