I was bored in programming today and decided to whip this up (I know it's been done before, I just wanted to do it myself)
What it does is it minimizes everything, moves the cursor out of the way, takes a screenshot, moves it back and displays the screenshot. The end effect is unsuspecting users can't click anything on their desktop because it is just a picture. It has basic functions to prevent the taskbar from showing up or prevent the user from alt-tabbing, I plan on adding more but I figured I'd just share this for now.
Download/Source
If you just want to test it out the exe is in /bin/Release
Hope somebody has fun with this little prank :)
Haha, creative one you got here. Thanks for this :)

Sounds very funny. Great job. Surely will try this. Why not post a scan link of the .exe?
This sounds funny. I have never heard/seen anything like this before. XD

Scanned the executable, nothing suspicous to be found so I gave it a try on my computer.
Well, works better than good, there's no (quick) way to close the application, I had to terminate the process with EoA Toolbox.
Good share OP.
If you have dual monitors, it only attempts to duplicate one of the screens. Additionally, you're able to open up task manager, (ctrl+shift+esc) and kill the process.
One more thing, for whatever reason (perhaps when you have two monitors) the picture that's taken doesn't match the resolution of the monitor so there ends up being a large portion of blank space towards the bottom of the picture.
Just a few things, all of which could be addressed.

Yea, I haven't coded it to address dual or triple monitor setups because I've been on my laptop. I'll work on adding support for two monitors when I work on it at home.
The only way you can open task manager to kill the process is if your task manager has its window location set to the second monitor, otherwise it will be stuck under the picture.
I haven't tried it with Task manager on with the always on top setting but it should still work. If not I'll have it try and minimize task manager
Thanks for helping testing :)

Actually, just having multiple monitor's defeats this completely, because you can use shortcuts to change which screen an application displays on..
Change Position: Win Key + Arrow Key
Change Screen: Win Key + Shift + Arrow Key

You really should make it use a prntscr type of thing so it gets all monitors :D
Thank, but please delete unused variable and using for more understanding.
rofl good share brilliant idea :D thanks op
Updated. It should no longer capture itself on slow computers. It also will now prevent people from moving it via keyboard commands.
I haven't had time to work on it at home yet so still now multi-screen support yet
Link in OP is current
i just get an white screen with a black block on the top left and i cant do shit XD

Nice idea, I'm pretty new to C# and I'm only really motivated by making skid apps like this. Just made a little windows form that speaks with text to speech and spam opens a url, so this is definitely inspiring. A bit confusing to try and understand at the moment but nothing a day of google can't fix. Thanks OP
Edit: Same problem as above, had to force shutdown haha. Couldn't task manager, could window key tab but that doesn't do much. Would it be difficult to add a hotkey to shut off?
Also, your mediafire link got disabled for violation
