So i sold an xbox account to someone for 400$. The persone paid with his paypal balance. He send me the money as a gift. 1 week later he files an unauthorized transaction. What can i do? He is also a minor under 18 years old. His paypal is also not verified. Should i call them them and tell them that i sold an xbox account or this is against their tos? Should i tell them that he is a minor?
Thanks a lot!

Don't say he's a minor, but provide tracking info if you shipped it.

Its an xbox account. I dint ship anything. He also sent the payment as gift.
If he's claiming unauthorized access, almost nothing will matter except whether he logged in with a spoofed IP or not. As always, call them up and explain the situation to them anyways.
Selling virtual goods is within Paypal's ToS, in favour of the seller. There is no buyer protection if you purchase a virtual good, but I'm not sure how much it would matter in this case, because he's claiming unauthorized access. Best of luck.
I can help you, but there is a catch to if I help you.

You sold him an og name, which is virtually impossible to prove that you made this transaction successfully. But considering hes unverified and a minor i'd say your chances are better....
but yeah $400 good luck mate, paypal employees are known to be faggots that need to be shot in the head.

You should have gotten it as services and you wouldn't have a problem. that's what you get for trying to avoid taxes and fee's lol.

Keep it simple. He gifted you $400 using his own account and it's not unauthorized because you know he authorized it. Don't try to spout shit that are against paypal TOS.
Support doesn't need to hear your lousy attempt at robbing Paypal fees. They just need to know that this isn't an unauthorized transaction.

I am doing shit much more complicated than this. Adaptive payments, PayPal AUP and all that crap.
Even If you tell paypal "I know this isn't an unauthorized transaction " you're still going to lose if evidence shows that it is one and they don't investigate much. Pretty easy to fool them .
Unless the buyer has filed a lot of these claims before they can deny it because it's obvious he's abusing the the system
If he sent payment from an un-regular IP which he don't use,you might loose, paypal checks the IP matching while unauthorized claim,if he used normal ip nothing will happen.
As already said, selling virtual goods is in favour of the seller. If you call them, there is a high chance of getting your money.

Method of payment makes no difference when it's an unauthorized access claim.
Thanks alot to every person who replied.
