Question about hooking laptop up to display |

If you hook up your laptop to your monitor, what will the resolution be? My laptop is a lower resolution than my monitor yet the monitor automatically adjusts the signal. It should re-adjust with yours too. The setup is so that I have a laptop on a stand with the monitor next to it, both acting as one screen. Even if I have the monitor to display alone, it still adjusts perfectly.

The laptop should adjust its signal to the monitor, to the monitors resolution. It'll look like you connected a desktop basically. If you hook up your laptop to your monitor, what will the resolution be? Depends on GPU and output. You will need to use HDM 1.3-4 or DVI Dual link or DP/Mini-DP if you wanna use that resolution. |
