How would it work out if members could leave a seperate catagory of rep for reporting a scammers. Currently people just leave negatives, but it would possibly be easier to find rep that was highlighted in a seperate colour, such as yellow specifically for scams. It could still affect the overall reputation of the user in a negative way, but it would save having to read through all the negatives just to see if there's a scam rep. Finding a yellow one would stand out a lot more.

Honestly I would feel there would be abuse, especially if someone says "Deal with caution" when most of those reps are always invalid.
Unless you're able to enter a link to the dispute as a requirement for the yellow rep, I wouldn't see this working as I would like it to.

That's a good point. If it were to happen, a link to a valid dispute should be a requirement.

As flawed as the current reputation system is, I don't see it changing soon, I'm sure Omni makes a shitload of cash from people who want the power to -3/+3. It's the most power these nerdgins have seen in their whole lives

I would also feel this would be abused badly, more false reputation would be added, and it would look realer as it's in the "scammer" color.

I think this suggestion is quite good. And it just has to follow the current reputation rules where a scam report must be linked with it.
Some people have like 5 negs and they're all scam reports, some people have 20 negs but none of them actually mean anything or suggest anything.
cmd+f scam. that helps me search though the rep pretty fast :P
I'm sure people here would rather deal with a ub3r with 300 positive rep and one scam report negative rep than a regular member with 50+ positive rep and 5 negative rep about unnecessary things that have nothing to do with the marketplace.

No, really.
Omni has made a vouch system in the past but it had to many flaws. With the current reputation system being abused so much, I honestly do not doubt he's working on it again to a point were he will install it and complelty disable the rep system.
Just give it time.
Novel idea. I'll keep it in mind.
