Deal Disputes
Clearly there's a problem. Accounts are hacked, people get bored, blah blah blah but that's common for most forums. But no forum is anything close to the amount of deal disputes we have here. What surprised me the most, is how much administration accepts it as if it is normal. No banning rule, etc.?
Here's my solution: Leak the IP address of the scammer, but keep him unbanned :). This would discourage most scammers from ever thinking of scamming again. It's not hard to figure out the school/workplace of the user, and pretty much f*ck him over real badly once you have his real IP.
Is there any reason this shouldn't be implemented? Thoughts?

Illegal, omni doesn't even keep personal info anymore
Users should be more careful. Not admins fault stupid fagg0ts are getting scammed every day.
yeet yeet dab skrr
I don't think staff will ever get involved with deal disputes. It requires a lot of time and often, it can be difficult to verify whether or not a scam even occurred.

IPs can be changed easily, and I go to a college with 50,000+ kids, I'll give you my IP for free.
If you're afraid of getting scammed, gtfo of the marketplace or use a middleman.

I don't think this is something that staff would do. There's some documentation that says they don't get involved with deals -> posting their IP address would be getting involved. Omni has a name and shame policy for those that charge back on L33T/Ub3r/Ep1c but that's the extent of it I believe. Also, why would it discourage people? If I logged in on my mobile device, I'd get a Verizon Wireless IP and that doesn't do anyone much good. If someone's afraid they'll be DDoSed then they could just do the aforementioned or if they have a dynamic IP, there's little to no concern. How can you fuck them over, even? Just DDoS is all I can think of, it's not like IPs are 100% accurate unless you manage to get the ISP to reveal that information (to the extent of my knowledge).
Edit: people beat me to all of this. :(

100% agreed. It's impossible for staff to handle all the disputes or even figure out who did what anyway
That would be illegal though?
Personally i don't think this would stop people from scamming at all.
If you don't want to get scammed then use a Middle man, it's by far the safest way to have smooth deals. Of course the middle man would have to be extremely trusted.
Please PM me on HF regarding confirmation for deals via Skype.

Could you clarify what part is illegal? Last time I checked, having an IP address and sharing said IP address isn't a crime.

This post gave me the Zika virus.
I'm not so sure it's illegal. Omni did similar for people that did charge backs on him.
Anyway it is a dumb idea OP and no chance in he'll it will ever happen.
Cheers.
