I recently got some Astro a40s as my Tritton 720s were fudging up...basically I could only hear out of one ear. I'm just a casual gamer only playing in my spare time. I was gonna go for the PX4 Turtle beaches but for a few extra $$ I opted for these.

I am using the Sony PS3 wireless earphone. Quality is good but i don't think i will get another wireless earphone anymore once this one is dead, due to the troublesome of needing to charge it daily.

I've been meaning to buy an actual headset, but for a long time I've just used an isolated microphone with some decent earbuds plugged in. If I'm being honest it's probably been the most comfortable setup I've ever had, mostly because I've never owned headphones (gaming or otherwise) that didn't start hurting my ears eventually. If I was to look into a new headset to buy I'd probably look to Corsair's gaming line first since pretty much every other product I've bought from them has been decent, but I doubt that'll be any time soon.

Astros all the way.
I've owned the A40s before, have the A50s now, and I absolutely love them. No other headset touches them tbh.

Please don't buy overpriced 'gaming' plastic made by Astro, Turtle beach, Razer, etc.

Get real headphones: Sennheiser, Audio-Technica, etc.
