So I'm in the need of a new headset as my current one has snapped (just a cheap Turtle Beach one), But I've had my fair share of Turtle beaches and HyperX headsets so I don't know if I should go back to something like the HyperX and get the cloud 3 or what I'm looking at just now the SteelSeries Arctis Nova.

If any of you have had this steelseries what are they like and if not, throw some recommendations my way!

I'm going to have to suggest you stick with what you know and get some HyperX's. I've used them exclusively for almost a decade now and I've never been disappointed. The last pair I had lasted me ballpark of 8 years with almost every day use.

I use the Razer BlackShark V2 pros and they're fantastic. My ears don't really hurt unless I'm using them for 8+ hours typically.

I agree with this.

I made the mistake and ventured from them and got a Razer headset. I tried the optimizer that came in with it and it crashed my computer due to it downloading all the drivers over the pre-existing ones. It was a common flaw a few years back and had to ShredOS my compy and reinstall everything again.

Sticking with what you know is the best bet.

Good battery life.

i would suggest you buy a long charging cord for it if your monitor / keyboard doesnt have an extra USB slot to charge while playing if needed.

I feel you with the wireless headset. Unless you have like a hanger or a bungee type device for the regular headset wire in my experience they always wind themselves up and just end up shitting out after a couple years. Wireless is the way to go. Unless youre gaming for like 8 hours straight i dont see how you can run out of battery mid session

Well i work from home so i have my headset on for many hours a day and hear the beeps for the low battery mode 😆

Hahaha yeahh in your case something wired would be better just for less hassle. Wireless headsets are great, ive used both, but I feel you on the low battery pings. I usually just ignore it until i have to scramble for a charging cord mid match 😁

I use Astro A10's and never had any issues with them and had them for over 6 years. Highly recommend and cheap to.

I always opt for the $100 headsets. They may be cheaper but they usually don't break on me. And I do drop them often because I have them hanging and I have kids lol. I have the turtle beach stealth 600s and the sony headset.
