Recently i had to take care of some rootkits/bootkits and i think my system is fully restored, the problem i am having is that certain programs dont work.

I looked in event viewer and saw these:

This happens with other programs, does anyone know what this is? I tried google and installed some c++ packages but that did not work.

Have you tried reinstalling corresponding VC++ component?

VC++ 2005, 2008, 2010 and 2013 are all installed.

Could you be a little more specific about "restore" that you have done?

Open up cmd and try the command "sfc /scannow"

a dism command fixed it, thanks for all the help.
