A Message on Dealing with Scammers
On March 1st, 2016 Omniscient released an announcement and almost a notification at the same time. In that announcement Omniscient stated very relevant points that he deals with on a daily basis here on HF, and also stated it in a form of comparison which really helped in getting his point across about the issue on scammers and how everyone has something to say about it. You're urged to read Omniscient's thread as it explains the point he was trying to make in much greater detail. To read the full announcement simply make your way to this thread, here.

Interview - Silicon Valley: (Click to View)

Enterpriser: Silicon Valley, welcome to the weekly news interview. Before we get started, would you like to make any shout outs?
Silicon Valley: Hmm well I''d live to give a shoutout to Kedox and 24K!

Enterpriser:I asked nearly every person I interviewed this same exact question. What brought you to Hack Forums?
Silicon Valley: Well. To be honest a friend of mine introduced me to Hack forums. He was like you totally should check it out. So I did and it turned out to be amazing.

Enterpriser: Is the friend that introduced you still active on Hack forums?
Silicon Valley: Yep :) and in fact his name is 24K!

Enterpriser: No wonder you shouted him out. I see that you give away @hackforums.co emails. Mind telling us more bit about that? How did it all start?
Silicon Valley: Well it first started when I was casually browsing the Domain Trading section of the marketplace. I saw someone was selling Hackforums.pw I thought it might be a good idea to make an email service. So I decided to search if any Hack Forums domains were available. To my luck i found Hackforums.co I registered it, talked with Omniscient about it. The only condition I had to agree to was to make sure there were randomly generated passwords. After I did that, it was up. And within the first day around 1,500 emails were registered! To my surprise, people started selling email's from my service. Around 12 sales threads popped up within the first 2 days of release. Now i'm expanding the service such as adding in new domains and partnering with other HF users. So far you can get an @idfwu.net, @pomf.xyz, and the original @hackforums.co

Enterpriser Ah interesting. How long do you plan to keep this project going?
Silicon Valley: I'm keeping it up for at least 5 more years. Planning on expanding it to many more domains, giving users more options. Maybe even a complete re-design!

Enterpriser: Do you plan on adding any other features besides the more domains?
Silicon Valley: Regarding the other features. Most likely not unless a user suggests a feature. The only other feature I might add is an online mailbox built within the site itself.

Enterpriser: Ah, sounds cool! Any upcoming projects that you would like to let us all know about?
Silicon Valley: I'm currently in the process of making another service called BTCE.co. BTCE is an escrow service that will be up on HF in less than a week. It will be preventing most bitcoin scams :) Already talking with Omniscient about it. Still deciding on a Hack Forums game located at HFPlay.net But who knows? I make websites on a daily basis haha.

Enterpriser: Mind explaining what this game is going to be about?
Silicon Valley: I don't have much info on the game just yet. But basically no registration is required. You can create your own lobby or join someone else's through a special link. The game will be based off of Hackforums itself. For example you can buy an ebook from the marketplace and sell it to other users in-game to slow them down. You can grow botnets in the game too! The first person to get a balance of $100,000 in-game wins the round and the lobby ends.

Enterpriser: It's basically a simulation of Hack Forums? Do you plan on profiting from the game?
Silicon Valley: Yes pretty much haha. I do not plan in profiting off of the game in any way. Its just a fun way to improve my programming skills and to add something new to the Hack Forums community.

Enterpriser: Ah I see. How long have you been coding for?
Silicon Valley: I've been coding for a while now. Started around 5 years ago and I simply fell in love with it. Before I started coding I was interested in how websites worked. It simply amazed me that I can type something in and find information on that topic.

Enterpriser: Well I wish you the best of luck with your coding endeavours as well your upcoming services/projects. It seems like we have to finsh things off, but before we go. Would you mind giving you're honest opinion on the site?
Silicon Valley: Well HackForums is truly an amazing site. Omniscient works hard every day on it. For me it would be tough to imagine doing all that work. In a recent thread I saw he received over 200 pms in a couple of days. I also enjoy contributing to the HackForums wiki but its really outdated. I would love to see some kind of reward for 500 edits or X amount of edits. But other than the drama that can occur HackForums is truly an amazing site.

Enterpriser: I can totally agree with you. I thank you for your time Silicon Valley. Have a nice night.
Silicon Valley: You too (:

Federal Court Rules FBI Can’t Make Apple Unlock iPhone
After a back and forth between the Federal Bureau of Investigation and Apple on whether or not Apple can be forced to unlock iPhones, a federal Brooklyn judge ruled that the company cannot be forced to unlock the iPhone in a New York case. Although this does not relate to the recent San Bernardino shooting case in California, it may foreshadow a similar verdict in that case. According to Apple and many privacy advocates, to be forced to unlock devices would be a privacy nightmare, with one advocate saying "The government should not be able to run to court to get the surveillance power that Congress has deliberately kept from it. The future of digital privacy also hangs in the balance. If the government can force companies to weaken the security of their products, then we all lose."

Raspberry Pi 3 Announced, Ships with Major Improvements
With the massive success of the Raspberry Pi and the Raspberry Pi 2, the company’s CEO has announced a third edition to the line – and it has some major upgrades. Unlike the previous Raspberry Pi, the third iteration now comes with a quad-core, 64-bit processor that clocks in at 1.2 GHz. The versatile board will still come with an HDMI port, MicroSD slot, and of course USB slots. This time around, it even comes with onboard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, which is pretty huge. The Raspberry Pi 3 will be compatible with Microsoft’s Azure cloud computing, which allows you to run multiple services on your Raspberry Pi. The best part about the new Raspberry Pi? It will be the same price as its predecessor, at a measly $35, even with all of the new features it includes.

Teachers Catching on as Cheating Watches Increase
What if you had 5 exams in a week, no time to study for all of them, and about 60 extra dollars? For students unwilling or unable to study, “cheating watches” that can show you notes or exam answers seem like a tempting alternative. Unlike an Apple Watch or a Galaxy Watch, These watches are specifically designed to help its users pass their exams without getting caught. Many of these models even come with a “panic button” that will change the screen to a normal watch face for when a teacher or proctor comes by. With more students buying these devices, UK teachers are catching on and taking action. Many schools and teachers have outright banned smart watches or even all watches during tests, calling them a “nightmare to administer”.

Battalion 1944 Aims to Challenge Call of Duty and Battlefield
Bulkhead Interactive, developers of a new World War 2 FPS game, Battalion 1944, has recently finished their kickstarter campaign, earning $451,000. The game will be offered to PC, Xbox One, and the PlayStation 4. The main goal of Battalion 1944 is to challenge the top tier FPS games, such as Call of Duty and Battlefield. Maps such as a Military Boot Camp and the battle of D-Day were promised to those who helped fund raise the game. British and Russian armies were going to be introduced into the game, but not enough money was raised for Bulkhead Interactive to add them. A quote from Bulkhead Interactive, states, "The reason these stretch goals were placed at such a high price is because characters cost a lot to make." A new company such as themselves, this does make sense. It will be tough for them to compete against these prestigious and well known companies who make a lot of money. Publishers and developers plan on branching out to other companies, hopefully making new partners and producing a game all will love. Tired of future warfare? This may be the game for you so stay tuned! Release date has been announced around May 2017.

Rainbow Six Siege pro League Season Kicks off
Ubisoft, developers of the popular first-person-shooter Rainbow Six Siege, is pleased to announce that the well anticipated Pro League Season has kicked off on March, 4 2016. The event is taking place at the Intel Extreme Masters World Championship in Katowice, Poland. The top eight European teams have have kicked off the event, battling to see which team will prevail. North America is also participating in this outstanding event, putting the top eight teams they have to offer into the tournament too. For now, Europe will battle Europeans teams, and North America will battle American teams. Once a winner is selected to represent the European team and the North American team, said teams will come to a clash for a chance of winning $100,000. There is currently no public date set for when the finals will occur. You can watch the stream and see the schedule of each broadcast by clicking this link here. To celebrate the event, double XP was offered until March 6. The Pro League event is a global tournament, which means that even if you are not in the main event, you still have a change of winning money with your friends! Starting on March 7, players at home will be able to participate in the weekly "Go4R6 competitions". To enter there is only one requirement, and that is to be 18 years old. Players on Eureopean servers can check more about the competition here and the American players can check here. The best teams weekly will win $100, while the best two teams monthly will split $500! Pokémon Sun and Moon Officially Unveiled
Pokémon fans rejoice! Celebrating 20 years of the fan-favorite game, popular on hand held devices such as the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo has officially announced that two new Pokémon games are in the making. Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are described as "games that will change the era". Introducing new Pokémon and brand new features such as the Pokémon Bank, Pokémon Sun and Moon will even be offering nine different languages, including Chinese, which has never been done before! Die-hard fans have already done their research way before the announcement was made. Popular channels such as HoodlumScrafty, have already made videos informing the public about the news games being released. Although there is not much much known about the game, it has been announced that the new legendary Pokémon is Magiana. Pokémon Sun and Moon are going to be the first mainline Pokémon games since Pokémon X and Y. Prior to the new release, Nintendo also announced that the upcoming 3DS Virtual Console re-releases of Pokémon Red, Blue and Yellow will be available for purchase on the 3DS eShop. These re-mastered games will be compatible with the Pokémon Bank too, which will be explained in this article soon. The games will each be $9.99 and are for sale now! Finally, we will be explaining the Pokémon Bank. The Pokémon Bank is just like PC Box that stores all your Pokémon. It is an application you download on your 3DS, and with this bank, you can transfer over Pokémon from your old games, into the newest, Sun and Moon. So, for example, if you had a level 100 Charazard on Pokémon Red, you would be able to transfer that over to the newest gen games! An internet connection will be required, and it is recommended that you install all of the games on the same device, to make it easier to transfer. Down below you will be able to see a little video that the makers of Pokémon have created.
