Tips For Moving Out On Your Own?

Long story short I want to move out of my house but I have like $300 saved up. I have my own car and I don't pay any insurance/phone bills. I buy my own food and pay for my own services like my hf membership, spotify and netflix. Do any of you guys have any tips on saving up enough money to move out? I don't want to move into a place I don't like but I plan on moving out this summer. I have some friends who I might be able to split a apartment with but I am still going to save at least 2k before I move out.
lol what's your monthly income bro
Stop wasting money on things like Ub3r, spotify, and netflix and get you a job. Try dropshipping online, <- Pm me for info on dropshipping boss

dude, I have a job that's almost full time 30 hours a week at 8.65 an hour..
Don't buy shit you don't NEED. Don't blow your money on hanging out with people and being dumb.
It's really not too hard to save money. Just buy necessities.

Also, moving in with friends 80% of the time doesn't work out and ruins friendships.
Speaking from personal experience on that.
I'd much rather live by myself lol.

depends I work at a grocery store but I make 8.65 an hour and average 28-30 hours a week
Well if you are moving out on your own you will buy to almost everything and that will cost a lot of money. Furniture, tools, decorations, food, bills and so on, I recently moved to a new place and I am missing a lot of stuff and I need money. I hope it works out for you!

I don't go to movie's because of how expensive it is and I don't really spend a whole lot anyways. I might want to get my own place now that I think about it, with other roommates it would be cheaper for rent though which would be nice

It is a nice perk, and it makes it less intimidating than going on your own.
But you gotta weigh the pros and cons and the people you'd be going with. Are they reliable? How do you know they are?
Cus people will show some true colors you've never seen before once you move in together.

I have a thread actually (if you look through them) of the hell it was living with my old roommate.

But yeah I mean places usually want security deposits (especially if you're young) and half the time that's the cost of first months rent.
If you don't have a bunch of money, shop on your local Craigslist or shit for furniture. You don't need to buy everything new when you're first starting out.

I lived with her for 7 months before I finally got free lol. She was horrible. But she wasn't before we moved in so like wtf.

Buy like a TV and then SE a refund, this way you aren't spending money.
You could also double dip and sell the other on Ebay for extra income.
I could try SE online I guess. I don't want to get any of my accounts banned though like my amazon or ebay account and my ebay account just got a restriction lifted so I can sell again finally after like 6 months..
"200 dollars" sorry to break it to you mate, but that's not nearly enough to make it on your own. Work like a dog for a week or two and bail the fuck out of the house if you're 18. If not your parents are still your legal guardians and you'll be listed as a missing child.
find a good way to make income then save for a down deposit... start by looking for a few places and get an idea on how much you need... then save for it. Keep in mind some places will do credit checks so if you have bad credit or no credit that may cause issues... some of them won't run a check just depends. Get an idea on how much you spend on food and make a budget.... check and see if the place your going too has gas or just electric and see if utilities are included in the rent. To be prepared make a budget on things like:

1. Food
2. Car Repairs
3. Fun (include this don't neglect yourself)
4. Gas money
5. Rent
6. Utilities
7. Money you can save
8. Internet (this can be included in fun... you don't need it but this can also fall
into income if you work online.)
9. Car Insurance

I make currently 10.30 an hour and I roughly work 74 hours every two weeks but my hours fluctuates. I bring home a grand a month take home money not including what money is withdrawn from tax... I work on peoples computers for extra cash and still trying to make more money, I save like no ones business. SAVING IS KEY DUDE. Also having roommates help with cash. My GF works and helps with rent. I save for the both of us. It's hard at first just make sure you plan and it'll work out 😁 I'll be having my asian friend living with me and my GF next year and she works security so having a couple of roomates help 😉

I am 20 years old. You don't know the living cost in my area and its about $400 at the cheapest for renting your own place. Like I stated I am going to save up 2k before I move out and I get on average $170-$180 a week at my job which is $510 a month so it would take me around 3 months to save up $2k for deposit fee's + utilities and first few months rent. I am about $40 on food every other week and I get decent gas mileage. Its possible for me but I don't plan on being at my current job for much longer.
