Increase in new and repeat scammers.

While browsing one day, the new post section, I noticed 4 threads all made about the same user. All deal disputes, all scams over 100$ each. And it got me to thinking, while the trust scan feature is good it doesn't always get the justice done.
My idea:
When someone who is ub3r scams(becsuse let's be honest 99.9% if scammers are ub3r), there would be a multi level disciplinary system in place.
First offence:
Revoke of ub3r, and all associated privileges until the report is made good on.
Second offence:
Revoke of Uber, and all associated privileges until the report is made good on and 30 days to follow.
Third offence:
Permanent Revoke of ub3r all together with no chance of getting ub3r back.

I feel this may change the multiple scamming users, as well as deterring the would be scammers.
With l33t. It would be the same. Except, they would lose all ability to ever upgrade to ub3r as well as get their l33t taken away.
I've noticed an increase in scamming, and hopefully this would change that.
Just a thought. Good day all.

I don't fully agree with you but I like your idea.
But don't forget that HackForum staff members doesn't get involved into deal disputes.
I doubt a idea ever will be implemented for scamming.

You deal at your own risk, if you're dumb enough to deal with some users; you deserve to get scammed..
As bad as that sounds, it's true.
I get what both of you are saying.
Just, brings some integrity to the forums. I understand, it's hackforums. It's a form dedicated to hacking.
But, omni has taken things away becsuse of the nature of them. Ex. 'Phishing'.
I also understand, staff doesn't want to get involved. Just sounded good, you know? Sometimes even those with a good reputation will scam. Or without any open scam reports. Building up rep, until their exit scam. I feel this may help with deterring any of those would be scammers.

It wont happen, Hackforums doesn't involve themselves in disputes in any way at all.
Nowadays? I'm just here for the nostalgia.
It they would get involved I tho k thru would just start banning. Not revoking uber. It doesn't affect people who buy accounts

Could argue the same thing about banning.

Bad idea as people would make fake reports to intentionally screw other members over.

Here's an even better idea, the potential buyer takes 2 seconds to search the member they're dealing with to make sure there aren't any open/unresolved deal disputes before proceeding with the deal. It's not Staff's job to make sure you deal safely.
This isn't going to do anything the only way to stop scammers is hire a dispute mod/admin and ban them when solid proof is given.

I mean, it's not hard to differentiate between a legit and fake report.

It's not hard to search a members UID before dealing either.
This is an insanely terrible idea

Care to elaborate, how taking the privileges from a known scammer is a terrible idea?

As I stated before. I've seen members without a scam report and great rep, scam before. No sure your argument.

Not just terrible but insanely terrible. You shouldn't be suggesting to take their ub3r cock away even if they scam. Remember HF will not be held responsible for deals made by members.
