im currently gold EU West, The question i am asking can you rank plat before the real season 7 starts or can you just stay in gold then when it starts you can get your real ranking ?

Yeah I'm also unsure about this. I got placed in Silver from being in Plat last season in flex queue. Then I climbed from silver to gold. So when the season starts, will they reset flex again? If they do, I'm probably going from gold to bronze. I don't know why riot would implement a two week season to play. Hopefully, they keep the flex rank once preseason is over and just reset solo queue.

They might reset flex queue ranks once the season starts so I personally don't think its worth climbing right now. If you're talking about solo queue then I would play a few games before s7 starts to get a feel for the meta but they are about to reset ranks so climbing might not be worth it.

Do you mean if it's possible to get plat?
Yes, it's possible to get plat rank, your start MMR will be a bit higher when season 7 starts than when its gold. You won't get plat border or anything for next season.
Playing ranked SoloQ/FlexQ will only matter a little bit in the soft elo reset for start of season 7.
