My computer just came up with a error that Recycle Bin was corrupted..?

So, my computer just came up saying that the Recycle Bin was corrupted and asking me if I would like to empty it. Never before had this pop up before, and I have owned this computer for at least 4-5 years now.

I pressed "No" because I am not familiar with this. Can someone tell me more about it?
You should've said 'yes.' Now you'll have to do that manually. It is probably just your usual case of corruption. Data corruption occurs mostly when the medium that hosts the file becomes unavailable when it is being accessed. Such as when you lose power or even like when using a SMB share, you save, then network drops. It can also occur with poorly coded applications that don't close the file before it or another app writes to it again. Maybe you can find something complaining in the event viewer?
