Host your own [ - HIDDEN SERVICE - ] on your RASPBERRY PI!
I just saw a question from a user in the networking section on how he should keep his anonymity so here it is my answer for you ✌
Some information about tor:
https://www.torproject.org/about/overview.html.en
Some information about hidden services:
https://www.torproject.org/docs/hidden-services.html.en
Install tor
Code
sudo apt-get install torFile with tor configuration
Code
sudo nano /etc/tor/torrcAdd or uncomment these lines!
Lines that will enable your hidden service
Code
HiddenServiceDir /var/lib/tor/hidden_service/
HiddenServicePort 80 127.0.0.1:80This service would enable HTTP as a service if you want to promote another Hidden service (Ex. SSH)
Code
HiddenServicePort 22 127.0.0.1:22Start tor
Code
sudo service tor startThe next steps require root permission!
Gives you root.
Code
sudo -sNavigate to the directory that contains your private key and your hostname.
Code
cd /var/lib/tor/hidden_serviceCode
root@raspberrypi:/var/lib/tor/hidden_service# ls -l
total 8
-rw------- 1 debian-tor debian-tor 23 Dec 18 10:35 hostname
-rw------- 1 debian-tor debian-tor 891 Dec 18 10:35 private_keyThis file contains your Hostname for the service
Code
