I got a weird issue

Well I applied for a call center job, and got called today and they said they'd like to set up a phone interview with me.

Now I'm actually really fucking nervous. Because when I got the call, I admittedly fucked up with speaking. I got locked up.

I was like "how the hell am I going to work at a call center if I get choked up trying to speak on the phone?".

The way I see it. Worse case scenario I don't get the job, and I learn my lesson.

In person, I'm calm, and usually fine. On the phone I just got choked up. Granted the call woke me up and I literally sprang up to answer it. But still.
I have mad social anxiety so I stutter on the phone or anything that really involves talking to people.
It's something you will have to work to overcome but you'll find over time that the crushing anxiety will fade.

I knew I had social anxiety, but it has only been in crowds. I have always been able to control it one on one. But when I was on the phone it suddenly deteriorated.

Like my ability to communicate properly just stopped. Like I paused in between words because I didn't know what to say. It came out of the blue.
Wait, when you got the call for the interview or asking to set one up with you?
You're thinking about it way too hard thats why. You're making the situation bigger than yourself.
Before you I always had me

Mine is literally everything and everywhere. Literally ruins my life lmao.
I've worked at a research center as a Surveyee before, its not that hard to talk on the phone. You'll get over it with time.

We also had a "cheat sheet" infront of us where you can refer to for rebuttals and whatnot.

Setting up.

If I get nervous during a call telling me I'm getting an interview, what the hell can I expect when I do the interview.

you'll be expecting it, so prepare yourself. Even get a friend or family to fake call up and do a practice or some shit. You'll be fine Brendan
Call them and ask if you can have a 1on 1 interview. I'm sure they'll understand, my brother had a video and phone interview for a position at a bank but he asked if he can do it in person instead and they granted him that

Well being unable to do a phone interview for a company that's whole point is to provide assistance over the phone...throws up a lot of red flags.

I just gotta suck it up and do my best.
Its a big problem. Maybe you can try to ask your friend to call you and pretend you dealing with costumer. Good luck with your job.
Got the interview today at 3. I'm feeling confident as all hell.
They'll literally hire just about anyone, don't get too worked up about it. It happens, you're not gonna be the greatest call center guy overnight lol.
