Never used python in my life. Only code I've ever touched is C++.

I don't want to make a super computer AI, just an AI that plays Tetris (Tetris friends).

Where should I start? What are some essential programs to coding in Python? Links to repositories? Anything that can assist me :)

Try something on www.kaggle.com, really interesting and helpful tutorials and challenges

I would look at OpenCV to process images/video of the game. Then something like Keras or Tensorflow.
