Hello HF,
So i've been working on a high quality eBook that i plan on selling and something came across my mind. I've seen nearly every good eBook get leaked eventually so i decided to make a program that reduces the likelihood of the eBook being leaked straight away. Yes obviously you can't have 100% anti leak protection on your eBook as there are always ways around it no matter what but the program i have worked on for a couple days has pretty good protection against it and it would be VERY hard for someone to leak it when running it through my tool. So i want your opinions, when i release this eBook binded with the tool, would it interest anyone to purchase the tool itself once they have tried it out with the eBook? I doubt anyone would want it but why not ask lol. eBook will be released in a couple days so you lot can see what the tool is like. Any feedback is appreciated, just a thought i had.
This is very much needed right now. But people will be sceptical if they see a .exe file binded or use the tool unless it's open source.

True especially since i've encrypted the executable to stop people decompiling it, it gets detected by virustotal as a 'virus'. 10 detections. I would like to sell the tool itself as open source of course but i want release my eBook before that. Not sure how i would go upon releasing this eBook binded to the tool without people getting sceptical about it and not purchasing the product because of that fact. Ill give out a couple vouch copies to high rep users considering i have no rep.
Theres honestly no way to stop an ebook leak, if someone wants to manually copy it word from word on a word doc or just take screenshots even if theres software protecting that, theres ways around it. No way to stop it.
People could take screenshots, copy it word for word or even take pictures on their phone. If someone wants to leak an ebook they will, this program is pretty redundant.
DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS MEMBER

Absolutely. A tool preventing this would be literally a scam

Or just use OCR with the screenshots taken from the program.
best anti leak is to not make any ebook at all. make video course/mentoring.

Here’s the secret:
If you actually release a GOOD ebook or regular book, you know what happens?
It doesn’t matter if people leak it or share it.
You will make money and people will be lining up to buy your next product.
How about focusing on making a good ebook.
The marketing strategy behind 4- hour workweek, an extremely successful book was leaking it and posting it on torrent sites.
People liked the material so much, they bought the book anyway. It works with anything.

I didn't say it would completely stop people from leaking the eBook because that is impossible and someone can just take a picture of their screen but it definitely will slow them down. The tool doesn't allow you to copy/paste, it requires a key in order to view the eBook, screenshot button is completely disabled and i im in the process of adding more protection so other software will not be able to screenshot the program. It is literally impossible for you to stop someone from leaking the eBook but this definitely slows them down a ton and most people wont go to the effort of taking photos of dark on dark text which you can barely see from a camera.
