A New Planet Found in the Milky Way Galaxy
A starless planet has been observed roaming the galaxy by astronomers. It is also being said that this new planet has a magnetic field some 4 million times stronger than that of Earth's. This new planet, called SIMP J01365663+0933473, is the first time we have been able to study a magnetic field this powerful up relatively close. According to a researcher on the project, “This object is right at the boundary between a planet and a brown dwarf, or ‘failed star,’ and is giving us some surprises that can potentially help us understand magnetic processes on both stars and planets,” The insights into magnetic fields we could gain from this rogue planet could be immense. >>Source

Bioengineered Lungs Successfully Transplanted Into Pig
In a not-all-too surprising development, researchers have been able to engineer a functional lung for use in an animal. Coming out of the University of Texas, their newly published paper goes in-depth about the final issue they were facing when creating the organ. They also had to specially engineer scaffolding to protect the lung during the weeks it took to grow. Hopefully, this is the beginning of the end for the huge transplantation lists we currently have across the globe. >>Source

Pompeo: Kim Jong Un is breaking his nuke agreement with Trump
With just under two months passed since the monumental U.S.-North Korea denuclearization that took place in Singapore, Mike Pompeo, U.S. Secretary of State, returned to the totalitarian-run state on this past Friday. Pompeo reported back that the North Korean regime continued to build onto its weapons program, which is inconsistent with the guidelines Kim declared he would abide by. Last month in July, Pompeo was questioned about his statement in the U.S. regarding North Korea, where he claimed they were continuing production of bomb fuel and newly-developed missiles. ‘Chairman Kim made a commitment to denuclearize,’ Pompeo said. ‘The world demanded that the do so in the U.N. Security Council resolutions. To the extent they are behaving in a manner inconsistent with that.’ When the summit took place with U.S. President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jon-Un, he openly agreed to work towards a total denuclearization of his country, in exchange for relief from tough sanctions; however, till the time of this article’s publishing, Kim nor any of his officials have provided details on how they will go about such. The White House said on Thursday, 2 August 2018 “Trump had received a letter from Kim and had responded with a note that should be delivered shortly. But it said no second meeting was currently planned.” >>Source

Women in Kuwait granted full political rights
In what seems almost baffling as to why this was not granted years ago, Kuwait has recently become one of the founding countries in the Middle East to grant the full political right to women. After decades of campaigning executed by women’s rights activists, full suffrage has been provided as a result. The move to hand women the rights they deserve has been praised by regional media, where they have reportedly commented on the impactful role women have been playing in the strive to develop better opportunities ‘across all sectors, including public works, social services, economy and politics.’ It is said that many newfound openings have been ordered, where women in society have the ability to attain job stature overlooking men. The journey for equal rights has not been one that’s come easily. When women first assisted in the coordinating resistance against Saddam Hussain’s invasion of Kuwait in 1990, that’s believed to have been the starting point for the course. Since then, women have continuously hurdled obstacles to obtaining basic human rights alongside men, something rarely seen in the Middle Eastern region of the world. Two key participators are Dr. Rasha Al Sabah and Nabila Al Mulla. Al Sabah served as the first under-secretary of the Ministry of Higher Education in 1993. Al Mulla was appointed as the first Kuwaiti ambassador stationed in Zimbabwe and South African in the same year. Afterward, Al Mulla had the honor to be appointed as the permanent representative for Kuwait at the United Nations, where she became “the first [Arab-Muslim] ambassadress to the global organization.” >>Source
