I tend to get alot of crashes more than usual recently on my 1080ti, I haven't overclocked my gpu - or maybe it's not my gpu, it could be my psu?
heres an image of my HWMonitor screenshot of the max value when it crashed, hopefully someone out there can tell me whether those numbers are okay.
Any help would be much appreciated!

BSOD crashes? Error code?
Human stupidity : Buying something they have no clue about, and then ask if they wasted their money.

I should be more specific, I do apologise. It's crashes only when playing games
What games specificly?
What you checked your temps during gaming?
Try taking a screenshot of the same program but this time while gaming.

yeah that was the screenshot while I had it running in the background.
And it was Overwatch - been getting the "Your rendering device has been lost" though ive been running ultra before and it was working fine.
Though I have a feeling it could be my PSU? cause my GPU doesnt go above 85 when gaming hovers around the 79ish area, and cpu temps are running fine too.

It would really help to know which model PSU as well...
From the pic, everything looks normal, the 3.3v, 5v, 12v rails look normal and the GPU/CPU temps look fine.
Start by running DDU:
https://www.wagnardsoft.com/
Remove all old graphics drivers then download the latest drivers from:
https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx
When you install them make sure you do a custom install and there will be a checkbox for "clean install" check it off too.
After that, try it out for a while, if the crashes still happen come back and let us know , we can try to diagnose further after that.

That seems like a driver issue. Run DDU, clean install a new driver and proceed with testing. Could also be some type of power management issue with your PSU, but I'd try the driver solution first.

Everything I've seen with those 2 issues points to either running DDU and fresh graphics drivers or disabling superfetch.
When was the fist time that your PC crashed and was it after you changed anything? Your CPU looks a little hot you might want to clean your case (If you haven't already) and reapply some thermal paste to the CPU. Are you getting a BSOD or is it just a shutdown to black? Chip creep is also a thing, cased by thermal expansion n such. I would Remove the GPU clean the pins with a clean eraser head then do the same to the RAM then make sure all the cabling is connected to the motherboard securely.

I DDU my driver, I was reading somewhere on a forum that someone under clocked their core and memory clock to -100, I did that and since then I haven't ran into a crash yet *knocks on wood*. Though my GPU temp is pretty high up there, is there a recommend fan curve I should use or adjust any other settings?
Though I find strange is that I used MSI before but I used it to clock both memory and core by a bit (positive) and it ran perfectly fine, but never thought of under clocking it.

So you overclocked the GPU?, might have been good to say that earlier......
Thats the very first thing you should have done, undo your OC.

but the thing is I havent opened that program in months, doesn't the profile get reset to back to their original numbers when the application is closed or better yet uninstalled from my computer? cause i had to install MSI again to fix it.

Un-installed, yes it should revert to default.
Closed not necessarily, it depends on the setting you have setup, don’t forget when you change thise settings you are effectively modifying the firmware to read different values, unless you change them back or it cannot find the reference they will not change.
