In my opinion, yes taxes do go to some good things such as VA disability and schools, roads etc.
However, a majority of the taxes we are forced to pay are actually unconstitutional. If you don't pay, they lock you up and spend even more tax payer money.

Pretty communist is how I feel. Raise 'em higher, pay for more people's healthcare, for social services, and for public education. Heck maybe even get wild and pay to fix some infrastructure or line NASA's pockets a little again.

This works best in combination with a slashed military budget ;)

We need taxes as much as we hate them. We are overtaxed, me being in one of the most taxed states in the U.S. It sucks horribly but without them we would be screwed way more than we already are.
