Asus laptop won't start

Hello guys

Not sure if it is the best place to post, if it is not i'm very sorry.

I am writing about my Asus FX503VD Windows10, since this morning it is defective: the keyboard started to bug and when I did windows> reboot the computer it failed to restart.
Since my laptop does not start.
I tried to restart it 3x as seen in the support for the safemode but without success.
When I press the ON button the keypad turns on but nothing goes on the screen and then after 45 sec- 1 min it turns off automatically.
Can you help me please ?
I bought this notebook less than two years ago and so it is still covered by the warranty.
I can't unplug the battery without opening the laptop and i'm afraid it will unvalid the warranty so i did not unplug it.

Thanks a lot for your help.
If it's under warranty just suck it up and send it in. Sounds like a power or motherboard issue if nothing comes to the screen at all.

As mentioned above , it's highly recommended that you return the laptop as long as it's still covered by the warranty , this kind of issue can occur due to multiple reasons , including but not limited to a defective power supply circuit , and you'll probably be spending a lot of money to fix it if that's the case , you're lucky you still have that warranty
P.S : sorry , i though i quoted the OP
Thank you for your tips

Yep I have contacted Asus and the laptop will be sent to them today or tomorrow
Hello guys
So I sent my laptop to Asus but my laptop has liquid damages...
So here is what they are asking me for the repair [Image: devis-asus.jpg]

735€ including a new mother/main board (535€)
Do you think it is worth to repair it ? I'm not sure as the laptop is 1,5 year old (bought originaly at 800€) and it seems I can get a similar config for 650€ or a upgraded one for  750€.
And I can't find a new MB cheaper than 500$
thanks a lot for your help
Not worth the repair at that price. Buying another laptop is just as cost effective.

Did you not know it had water damage? You neglected to mention that up to this point.

This always sucks. It is a bit like when the transmission blows in your vehicle. The labor alone costs so much it is too close to the value of the entire vehicle. lol However, if you can repair it or know a guy it can be viable. Yet, you can't really find a cheap transmission just like a mobo for an expensive laptop. Alternatively, you can resource a specific type of computer repair shop; experts. But you need to find the type who will do practices like reflowing and component replacement. Not a place that will simply tell you the mobo is bad. The price will be high. But many will agree to no charge if they can't fix it. If they can fix it, you need to get a price beforehand otherwise they may ask for far too much.

It goes for about $350 on Ebay sold for parts...

I did not know because we shared the laptop... And someone neglected to tell me about it...
Yep that's what I've read it can be expensive and long, and seeing what they want to repair it is maybe not only the mb.
I think i'm going to get a new one and try to sell the broken one for parts. It is what you mean ? People sell it about 350$ 'broken'?

Thanks a lot for your reply

Yeah, go on Ebay. Search the model. In the left, enable sold listings and condition "for parts." $350 is about the max. Probably will get less. Don't add your opinions on what is wrong. Just say it won't power on. Play dumb to questions.

I 100% agree and have done this before. Sell on eBay for parts and or repair. Put in the description it was the house laptop and one day it stopped working and make sure you put no guarantees to anything and only for repairs/parts as you have no idea what’s wrong with it just won’t power on.
Like others said, just buy a new board from ebay and watch replacing the motherboard videos on youtube pertaining to your laptop model. It's not that hard if you have the right tools and take your time.
