How important is rest and recovery?

Hey guys just curious on how important is rest and recovery because all i want to do is train at the moment like all the time. So i have a couple of quesitons!

1. How important is it to rest ?
2. If you feel good but your body is a bit sore but not to bad is it okay to train?
3. If you train everyday are you just causing damage?
4. If you are sore but not to sore and you train are you just damaging your potential growth?

Cheers guys, so excited for the future. Honestly want to become the absolute best version of myself and feel like all the good things follow when your body and mind are right.
I was thinking the exact same thing last week and just ended up having a day off to be safe as my upper-body was a bit sore.

Will check back in to see if anyone has info

Yeah man i feel like it also depends on the person to when i was 17 i use to swim 5km sometimes 10km 6-8 times a week and i was always sore but i was absolutley in the best shape of my life.
Rest is as important as training. Rest as hard as you train. Having a pretty good sleep routine and low stress will help you a lot. Unfortunately many beginners train more than they can recover and they end up progress slowly or not at all.
Training volume should be progressively added, dont utilize the 1 of your 2 tools too early.
The other 1 being food. Up it only if you cant get stronger, and as recovery eat as much as you can absorb. Poor digestion is as bad as bad recovery.
If you need any more specific help post your routine or something🤝
Rest and recovery are exceptionally important, OP look up the SRA curve (Stimulus, Recovery, Adaption) the more you beat your body down the closer you get to your MRV (maximum recoverable volume). If you exceed this depending on your level of athleticism for whatever you intend to do you may either get injured or be unable to progress as well as you could. Sleep, relaxation and destressing are the most important goals to recovery and the better you get at it the higher the gains train as so to speak you will be on.

This picture explains rest.
why don't you google it instead of asking here? youtube is fucking filled with people who has actual experience with this kind.

it reminds me of the people who post here instead of going to the doctor. dont let your life depend on members calling themselves experts behind their keyboards on hackforums lmao
people can't handle my honesty
