Do you think it's possible to learn 2 languages simultaneously?
Would that be a very ineffective way of doing things?
I'd be very grateful if someone is willing to help me out with either French or Turkish.
Some people probably have the aptitude to learn multiple languages simultaneous - look at Polyglots. However, it's probably not the most effective strategy for most people. I'd suggest just sticking to one language. I'm learning one at the moment and can't imagine learning another.
It's definitely possible. English and Spanish were my first languages. Then again, the younger you are the quicker you lear
and the more you retain. But it's still possible in adulthood, although can be challenging. I'm learning a few languages simultaneously right now.

Yes, you can learn 2 languages at the same time, but with the years when you getting old, your learning abilities will decrease.
I wish I had the time and motivation to even just learn one other. I guess I know sign

Turkish or French, oh boy, both are quite hard to learn. I'd stick with one.

It was a blast being on staff. I stepped down as it's time for me to move on. I wish you all the best and if you were hit by my warnings and/or bans, it was nothing personal.
Peace out!

You'd never know until you try though. Oh and which language are you currently focused on?

What's your native language?

The decrease in abilities is very unfortunate.

What is taking away your time and motivation?

I love both languages. My French is on a basic level, so it would be easier to continue that.. however might try both at the same time. Who knows, it might work out for me?

English and Spanish. Learned both at the same time.
When I was a kid I also was speaking 2 native languages but for adults it is not easy learning 2 at once, if you truly want to learn good better stick with one and after go with other.
It's obviously possible, but I wouldn't recommend it unless you happen to be like 10 years old lol. I learned French through high school, and I'm currently learning Spanish. I don't think I would be able to learn 2 languages at once.
Definitely, as long as they are not similar to each other

Look up laoshu505000 on Youtube he is learning languages simultaneously. I bet it would work, just depends how comitted you are at learning these languages. But there would probaly be 1 language you would top over the other, while you practice.

Same here. Learned both growing up. Spoke Spanish at home and English in school.
Is it possible? Yes. Are you likely to if they're not somewhat related to each other? No, probably not. Mastering a language takes years, so doing two at a time will at least take double the time.

Same! And then it went from Spanish to Spanglish then just English. :(
