Hello, I don't see a discussion thread on this anime, so I thought I'd create one.
Quote:An original anime by Studio Trigger, BNA is set in a 21st century in which the existence of humanoid animals has been revealed to the world after living in the darkness for centuries. One day, a high school student named Michiru suddenly turns into a tanuki person. After going to live in Anima City, where she meets wolf Ogami Shiro, she goes on to investigate why she became an animal and gets mixed up in even stranger events in the process.
You can find more about the anime, here: https://myanimelist.net/anime/40060/BNA
It's highly recommended to keep your posts in spoilers, but there is no way to enforce that since this is a discussion thread and anything goes. Don't get upset if you read something and you aren't up-to-date with the current episodes.
As for me, I shall use spoiler codes for the first three episodes. After that, I will not use the spoiler code anymore.
The show was aired on Netflix earlier than the release. This anime is set to release April 9. I'm assuming it is refering to Netflix accounts in Japan, but it might be for other countries too.
Also, I'm sure certain websites will have access to the first six episodes, but since that type of discussion isn't allowed, we'll leave that for your imagination.
What are your thoughts on what you've seen so far for this anime? I'm assuming no one has access to this yet, so I'm just curious to get some discussion going.
I've decided to finally watch this after putting it on hold. I'm going to be watching an episode once a day until I catch up because of the 24-hour post limit thing and I'm not spending 200 bytes to bump this thread. There are only three episodes anyway so I should be caught up by Monday.
If you are a fan of Trigger then this anime is going to interest you very much. The artwork, animation, characters, everything about it screams studio Trigger. The artwork and colors used are so refreshing and I love it.
Episode one.
Starting with the OP and the ED, the songs were great and they are nice to listen to!
This anime is about racism and diversity. Additionally, there is of course "beastmen", characters based on animals. If you aren't into "furry" stuff like this you'll just hate the characters.
We are met with Michiru, a tanuki who was once human but somehow transformed into a beastman. She finds herself endangered living in the human cities because of the "Anti-Beastmen" movement going around. A group of people who dislike beastmen and will even go as far as killing them to get rid of them. She hears about a city named Anima City. This city is a melting pot of beastmen and everything from wolves, minks, deer, you name it are in this city.
While on her way there, she hitches a ride from a bus. While doing so, she gets attacked by some of the Anti-Beastmen. She is then saved by a mink and her animal friends who I'm guessing work as a "smuggler" and assist new animals in getting safely into Anima City.
I'm very happy that she is pleased to be in this city! She finally has a place where she won't be judged and she can freely do whatever she needs.
A festival was held celebrating 10 years of Anima City. Soon after, a suspicious wolf is seen under a tower that holds a widescreen monitor. The tower was blown up and a ruckus was created.
The fighting scene wasn't bad. The animation was good and I enjoyed the Shirou fight scene where he took on three of the people responsible for the bombing. He was able to sniff out that they were paid off by humans to do so.
So you can see there is, of course, a problem between the two races and they can't seem to get along. I think this anime will foreshadow Michiru and Shirou working together to bring the two races together.
We discover that Michiru has some strange ability that is very strong. How she is going to use it we will most likely find out the next episode. Of course, she probably has no way of controlling it just yet, but by working with Shirou I'm sure they will become a great duo.
Not sure how the beastmen came to be and we also don't know how some humans were able to turn into them. I think it might have something to do with the human government as well considering we see them play a part in this too.

Michiru is pretty cute. I hate on the forums how everyone saying, "I'm nOt a fuRry buT sHE iS cUtE". Shut up, no one cares. Only people who have the time to hate because they have nothing better to do will care, and even those people you shouldn't take seriously. It's 2020, we all like weird sh*t. Shut up.
I also see some people hating the anime right off the bat. For those who have seen the first episode, what do you think? I didn't think it was bad at all. I'm not a studio Trigger fanboy, but I do enjoy their work. I'm not ashamed to say if I like or dislike something, but there was a big debate on MAL with nonsense and childish insults being thrown.
Episode two.
Episode two wasn't a bad one. We get more insight into what Anima City is like. It turns out that the beastmen are shapeshifters and they can turn into their beast form on command. Everyone except for Michiru.
The only complaint I have about this anime is when Michiru's voice actress raises her voice. She's annoying and it kills my ears. I want to punch the hell out of her. Especially at 21:29, she is so annoying.
We get to see a lot of the people we met previously in their human form. We also learn that in Anima City, just like in the wilderness, it's survival of the fittest and only the tough survive. However, despite this rule, it seems there is a police force too.
We learn that Shirou works for the government. His job I guess is like a contractor where he just gets assigned stuff and then helps people by using brute force? Now that we know more about Shirou, he is a total badass, but he is also really cold. I'm sure he will open up in the future. Or maybe not, maybe he'll part ways with Michiru. Because the two are the main characters I feel like the story can go anywhere. Either they work together, or their relationship (which is still new) falls apart.
Furthermore, Michiru learns that not only can she expand her tail but she can expand her arms too. I wonder what other abilities she has. Additionally, we already knew that Shirou can use his smelling ability to a great extent for reconnaissance and much more and I am curious to see what other abilities animals have. I don't believe in real life a tanuki can stretch their bodies like that (to a normal extent, not an exaggeration like Michiru) and it does make sense that Shirou has the ability to have a great sense of smell.
We don't get too much of a cliffhanger so I am wondering what next episode will be like when I watch it tomorrow.
After doing some research in the MAL discussion forums, I took notice of what someone said: "Are female beastmen (or beastwomen) treated like whores or prostitutes? Is that what Gran Grandma meant by that?"
It seems that women might be treated differently in Anima City. And with Michiru's reaction to what Shirou had to say it was a bit annoying like I mentioned before. She needs to calm down with that yelling voice. There are perfect examples when she's mad and can control that voice, but I'm not digging the whole screaming bits.
Episode three.
Looks like we get some more information on Michiru's backstory. It turns out that she was part of some experiment that was done and looks like the reason she is a beastmen now is because of Sylvasta Pharma.
There was a bombing in one of the medical centers it looks like the people behind Michiru's experiment wanted to cover up their tracks. Thanks to Shirou's excellent sense of smell, he was able to locate who the bomber was.
The president of the company seems very fishy. I think the phone call he had with the rhino guy was a way of getting information to him without incriminating himself.
We get a glimpse early on from Shirou's vision that Michiru was in some sort of accident. Maybe the people that took her in to treat her were part of the Sylvasta Pharma and they wanted to test their new product on her since she couldn't say no.
Maybe we'll learn about her past because it also seems her friend was in the accident too. Did she survive? Is she dead? If she is alive, was she tested too? There are some questions I'd like to get answered!
When falling off the building with the chameleon scene, I'm not sure why Michiru didn't extend her arms or extend her tail to become big to slowly fly down or to catch onto something. Instead, Shirou had to risk his life to save her. It seems this is going to be a repetitive trend, where she's helpless and he comes to her rescue. You saw how he was after that scene. He crashed into class, then into the hard concrete. A human would have died in that scenario, and probably a non-main character would have too.
Kuro is cute and funny. Despite just making a "kuro" noise I love him so much and I'm glad he's helpful.
Still seeing discussions on Michiru being annoying. What do you guys think? I don't think she was terrible this episode, but people were able to find a way to say she was annoying here. I'm curious to see what others think.
I just finished watching episode four and I guess it was more so a character development episode for Michiru.
Michiru can turn back into her human form and it looks like it is easier to transform than she thought. Or is it? She meets a dolphin beastman, Nina who is the daughter of The Family, the gang involved with the smuggling of medical supplies and such from the last episode.
After discovering that Michiru was a human at one point and after transforming back to her human form, Nina suggests they travel to the human world and go to a party.
At the party, Nina gets so excited that she turns into her natural form, the dolphin. At first, I thought this was where the plot of the episode was going to turn, and something bad was going to happen. It didn't, the people, despite probably being drunk so they couldn't think too clearly, were okay with the fact that she was a dolphin. I think if they weren't drunk or intoxicated with whatever drugs they may have taken at the party, it might be a different story, but who knows. I say this because while in the bathroom, Michiru overhears two girls saying how Nina is scary and that they could never live with someone like that.
The dumbos at the party felt like Nina was tired so they put her in the fish tank. That's the dumbest idea ever. Of course, Nina would have drowned if Michiru didn't transform to help out. Dolphins are mammals! But once again, it's probably because they were drunk and too stupid to realize. Or they are dumb in general. I wanna stick with the latter only for personal reasons but I don't go into that. It didn't tick me off, but it had me questioning their logic. Nina was able to walk on the land no problem, why throw her into the fish tank? I don't know...
Anyways, it's Michiru's birthday and she was able to get a cracked cell-phone. On her cell-phone, she saw that people were sending her birthday messages on Facebook and Instagram. I guess people are still thinking about her, mostly her parents since they know she left, but her friends probably don't know that she went to Anima City.
A surprisingly good episode that I was not expecting. This episode doesn't continue where we left off in the story. Instead, it was more like a filler episode. It seems that Michiru is enjoying her time in anima city, despite wanting to become human again. We can see her slowly evolving and even though this episode didn't continue from last week's, we can see some character development.
The only complaint I had from episode five was the high pitch scream that Michiru's voice actor does some time to portray her anger. It's irritating but other than that I don't have any complaints about the episode.
To keep herself busy, Michiru likes to play basketball on top of the roof of the city house she was provided. Of course, like any other person, she wants to play with other people who share the same interest. It turns out, baseball is more popular in Anima City than basketball.
While attending one of the games, she ends up staring as the lead pitcher for the Bears after their pitcher "Winnie the Pooh" gets knocked out. That scene was so funny and I was not expecting to hear "Winnie the Pooh" as the character's name.
It turns out that the baseball scene in Anima City is different from the one in the human world. In the Anima City baseball games, players are allowed to use their beast forms and they are even allowed to hurt or kill the other players to win. Additionally, the whole point of playing is not for the fun of it, but money. You can gamble your money.
We learn that gambling in Anima City is run by The Family and is responsible for this, but there is no proof and Ogami is sent out by the mayor to investigate it. Due to how dangerous these games are, the Dodo species, just like in our world today, are now extinct due to this sport. I think it's interesting that the producers included that little tidbit. They could have chosen any other animal!
As we later find out, the coach of the Bears is working with The Family. If the bears lose their games, the boss will pay him for fixing the game. While the Bears weren't even that good before Michiru joined, I'm not sure why the Bears even needed to fix the game for the other team to win.
It looks like the Bears teammates didn't know what the coach was up to until the last game where they were in the finals. The Bears were willing to lose due to the amount of money they would earn, they might be able to get out of the poverty they were in.
Thanks to Michiru, she showed everyone the true value of baseball and how it's not about gambling. While playing, we learn more about Michiru too in her beast form. We see that she can shapeshift her legs into a pair of cheetah's so she can run faster, and we already knew she can extend her arms, but we learn she can make them big and strong like a gorilla's!
I'm wondering if episodes like these will continue, but with a hint of learning more about Michiru's past. What I mean is, was this a filler episode, or will it continue like this now that we know Michiru can turn back into a human.
Lastly, I don't want to go into it, but, sadly, the coach's past was so dark. I'm surprsied he isn't in jail for what he did. It also shows the connection between humans and beastmen. Can they truly live together? Or will Michiru and Ogami change how everyone thinks?
We are introduced to a new character in episode six. However, it's someone we know from Michiru's past. Surprisingly enough it's Nazuna, but it's not the same Nazuna that Michiru remembers. Nazuna was abducted by who I am assuming is the same people that operated on Michiru and turned her into a beastmen.
This was a very nice episode and the character banter between Michiru and Nazuna was irritating. Not in a bad way, but in a good way. The voice actresses did a great job with the dialect between the two towards the end of the episode.
There still seems to be a lot of hate for Michiru. For me, it fluctuates between episodes. Mostly her teenage 'tude that she has with her obnoxious screaming and dumb way of thinking, but at other times she can be an okay and tolerable character.
We learn that when Michiru and Nazuna were humans, Nazuna wanted to be an idol. After being turned into a beastmen, she met a mysterious man. This man was able to help her shapeshift. Although Nazuna as a beastmen is natural a fox, she can turn herself into a wolf, specifically a fake version of the wolf spirit god Ginrou. Nazuna is part of a cult that praises the god and since she's a fake figure representing the god, she is finally getting all the praise she wants. She's, of course, letting this get to her head and I can already see the next few episodes involving this cult and taking it down.
Through stories and banter through previous episodes and the one today, it's safe to say that Shirou is most likely this figure. It's probably why the mayor does not want this cult with a fake Ginrou running around. It also explains why Shirou wasn't hurt after falling off a building to save Michiru from The Family. If Shirou isn't Ginrou that I'd be surprised.
This anime is getting more interesting finally and I hope the next episode is just as good as this one.
I'm not sure if it was discussed before in previous episodes, but after watching episode seven we learn that Anima City was created so that beastmen can live their lives like humans and prepare them for their life outside of Anima City. Meaning, those who want to interact with humans or possibly move out of Anima City, can learn how humans function and possibly mimic this to blend into human society. I find that very interesting. As I mentioned, I don't think this was said before until now. I could be wrong though.
We get a visit from the president of the pharmaceutical company, the one that had the bombing incident. He still seems very fishy and he's for sure running with the law and against it. He's very rich and it looks like a majority of the funding for the city comes from his pockets. I wasn't sure if Alan was a beastman or not but he isn't.
Alan appears in Anima City to chat with the mayor to discuss the new cult that wants to live there. He says he doesn't trust them, and even though Anima City was created for all beastmen to be live peacefully and be accepted no matter what animal you were, he says screw that he doesn't trust the cult. While I agree the cult is very fishy from what we've seen is that a good call? Because people saw him enter the town hall building, people have reverted their frustration from the mayor onto Alan. But we'll go more into that soon.
We meet a new character Pinga-san, which we'll probably never see again after this episode. Pinga-san is a "terrorist" or in other words an anti-beastman. This means someone who will go out of their way to hurt or even kill beastmen for the humans. We learn later on that he is a good person and because of his influence and having the freedom of a bird who can fly around and do whatever he wants, Michiru somehow can shapeshift herself into a bird as well and now she can fly. I'll also go a little bit more into that after the next bit.
Fast-forwarding to Alan again, he's taking over the pharmaceutical center temporarily until he finds someone else to take over. We learn through Pinga that there is a terrorist, another bird, attempting to pull off an assassination attempt on Alan. Outraged at Alan, the wolf cult makes its way to the pharmaceutical center, gathering as many bystanders as they can. But after watching what happens you can sense that the cult had something dirty up their sleeves. The assassin scoops up Alan, takes him up high, only to drop him in the center of where everyone is. Alas, there is the "Ginrou" (Nazuna) ready to swoop up and grab him. Boris was able to spread his lies even more and convince everyone that Nazuna is truly Ginrou, even though she isn't. Was this "assassination" attempt fake as we thought and scripted by Boris, or was it real? Most likely fake to me. As you can see, Nazuna also can fly. With that being said, does that mean Nazuna and Michiru share the same DNA that turned them into beastmen?
This means that although they are a specific animal, they can shapeshift which explains why Michiru can change her body around as we've seen her do throughout the past episodes. Does this also mean Michiru can shapeshift into "Ginrou"? That's something I'd like to know.
I'm was upset with Michiru in this episode. I still can't grasp liking her other than being a cute face. In terms of her as a character, she still irritates me and in this episode, she continues lighting the flame. I get it, she's a teenager going through changes, but her attitude is so annoying. Logically speaking, if you pay attention to what Ogami has to say, you can tell he is very reasonable. Michiru always has something to say to refute that just because something isn't going her way. For once, I want her to grow up. I'm not sure how her attitude changed so quickly after Ogami told her Pinga was a terrorist. She went from "omg he's not one" to "wow you were right Ogami!" So stupid.
Additionally, she's an absolute idiot for praising Nazuna after all that she did to her in the previous episode. Maybe she wasn't able to see the ploy that the cult was trying to create, but even so praising her so easily? You know that she's being used and I'm sure we'll have to see Michiru save Nazuna from Boris in later episodes, only to find Nazuna apologizing like the little tw*t she is.
Anyways, looking forward to the next episode tomorrow. :)
No complaints from me after watching episode eight. I enjoyed it very much. We learn some very cool things in this episode too.
Starting, we already know that the wolf cult in Anima City is sketchy as heck. After seeing what went on in the jail, we can confirm even more that they are up to something sketchy. What their objective is is unknown though. However, what we do know is that Boris, the leader of the cult, is working with Alan, the pharmaceutical genius and the biggest funder of Anima City.
Yaba, the rhino guy from a few episodes back gets a meeting with Boris. I guess as a "religious" figure, Boris is allowed to visit those in jail during questioning or something like that? I was really confused as to why he was even there, let alone be with Yaba without any security or someone monitoring what was going on in the room. Boris gives Yaba some sort of medicine or maybe he uses his powers as a beastman to do something and this gives Yaba extreme power, enough to destroy the jail and break out.
With the help of Shirou and Michiru, the duo was able to work together and stop Yaba. While doing so, Shirou takes off his choker, which is a belt, and activates his true powers revealing that he is Ginrou. This is an awesome discovery, but we already knew that it was going to be shared soon enough. It is also true that Shirou is immortal.
Through a story from the mayor, we learn how Shirou became Ginrou and even a little bit about her backstory. We also learn that Kuro is immortal too! I don't think the mayor is immortal because she is still aging and she explains that once Shirou turned into Ginrou he stopped aging. It's crazy to think that Shirou has been alive for over 1,000 years. This means he's seen so many things and it explains why his hate for the humans is so strong. What they did to him, his family, and his friends, it's very understandable. However, I think after meeting Michiru, he's changed quite a lot and I think her influence on him will turn him into a different person. I'm also not saying he's a bad guy now. It would also make sense as to why he distrusts Alan and gives him an attitude because he's a human.
I'm going to assume in the later episodes of this anime, Alan either gets caught, Boris admits that he's working with Alan, or something of the likes happens, and Shirou goes ape-sh*t killing Alan and those who work for him, only to be stopped by Michiru. That's just a prediction from me, but who knows!
In the next episode, I'm wondering if it will leave us off where the preview of this episode is. That being, Michiru talking to Nazuna and telling her that she knows there is a real Ginrou out there and that Nazuna is a fake. It seems that Michiru still wants to be friends and I'm sure we'll see them reunite, cry, etc, and Nazuna will whine and be sorry but she'll be nothing more than a selfish little b*tch to me. Anyways, Looking forward to the next episode!
With Alan getting more screentime and with dialogue given to us, as an omniscient point of view, we once again continue to see how Alan is manipulating everyone for his benefit. It's not for money as he is most likely the richest man, the Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk, etc of this anime so money is not an issue, but what is his end-goal? I still don't see what he is trying to achieve from everything that he has done.
On a nice day, Michiru sees Nazuna get into a car with mysterious people in suites that she's never seen before. This makes her go into that annoying justice mode where she has to do what she thinks is right and springs into action without logically thinking. She follows the car to the medical center and breaks in. While breaking in, we learn that she can transform into a chameleon and she's able to hide and sneak in by being camouflaged.
Before I go any further, I want to add that this may just prove that Michiru and Nazuna can turn into anything they desire. I'm wondering how it happens. Do they need to come into contact with that specific animal or if they try hard enough they can just transform? Very interesting and a legitimately good question if you ask me.
We learn that Nazuna wasn't kidnapped and that she was at the medical center because she volunteered to help Alan find a cure for humans who have turned into beastmen. While there, Alan explains why Michiru and Nazuna turned into beastmen and it's because of a blood transfusion that went wrong. Instead of regular blood, beastmen blood was given to the two and as a result, both Nazuna and Michiru turned into beastmen. Additionally, we learn the day that Nazuna was "kidnapped" wasn't a kidnapping, rather the doctors at the medical center realized through medical records that beastmen blood was missing and found Michiru before anything bad happened.
Looking at other people's answers in the MAL forum, it seems that Alan is trying to turn humans into biological weapons. It makes sense too. We learned from the mayor that she was a prisoner in a foreign country where they were trying to turn beastmen into some sort of weapon. Maybe Alan's family was responsible for this and he's taking over in the modern era.
As I keep repeating, Alan's social engineering and tricking everyone into thinking he's a good guy is going well. It looks like Shirou has his doubts about him which is good, and Michiru is still being the stubborn brat she is so I feel like she's in between. I feel bad for Shirou too because he's trying his best to look over Michiru, but Michiru has her way of thinking, mostly being a teenager without her parents stopping her.
There's a lot of questions that still need to be answered, but since all the episodes are out I can easily binge this series now. :)
We get more drama added to the table as we learn that the reason why beastmen are transforming into huge beasts with tremendous power is because of the "Nirvasyl Syndrome". It's a disease where beastmen go crazy and their "beastman factor" gene or whatever increases and they become uncontrollable with rage and great strength.
Alan remains to be very fishy. We learn that his ancestor was there during the time the humans went to war with the beastmen in Nirvasyl. His theory seems reasonable, however, in modern times it seems more like he's trying to purge the beastmen and turn all of them into a human. He has created a vaccine that works and will turn you into a human as far as we know.
This upsets Oogami and of course, Michiru is annoying as ever. You can tell through dialogue and intonation that Alan is a liar and everything he's saying sounds like the biggest load of cr*p. I do think that what he said about his ancestors is real. The beastmen were fighting over territory because they didn't like other species in their land and they weren't used to having other species, however, as I mentioned before I think how Alan is making it out to be now is much worse than in the past.
With the mayor being locked up in the human city, it shows how dirty Alan is, even using the prime minister to help him. it goes to show humans cannot live with the beastmen just yet and I think Oogami was correct when he said humans are liars.
Looking forward to the next episode because it looks like Oogami might be working with The Family to stop Alan. Wouldn't be surprised if that happened. After convincing the annoying Michiru, I'm sure she'll tag along too. With the mayor being locked up and having no communication with other beastmen they can pretty much manipulate that.
Two more episodes left. :)
In this day and age, you can't find a normal, mainstream anime without at least one idol episode or one character who aspires to be an idol, even if the setting is weird or strange. You can't seem to escape from it. Being used to watching K-Pop performances on YouTube I'm no stranger to watching Asian pop live. For Korea, it's simple. Good or bad dancing, good or bad singing. For Japan, it's a little different. I feel like they go completely overboard when it comes to their pop music, but they are having fun so let them be. Maybe because I'm a K-Pop bias, but I just think the J-Pop scene is weird. At least Nazuna's singing was good. Sometimes producers will get voice actresses or actors who can't sing, despite being pro singers and it's meh. I also think it's weird that a deity (although we know she isn't Shirou) would perform a live concert. But we all know this anime is more about watching to relax and enjoy, rather than me prying apart every detail.
Anyways, back to the discussion of the episode. I was correct with Oogami working with The Family to make sure that Alan doesn't take over Anima City. It's good that the mayor was able to escape and I see that Pinga has returned. They are both on their way to the city, but it seems they are too late. Will they be able to make it in time or will it be their arrival is too late after everything is fixed?
We see that Michiru can turn into a wolf too and she can use her nose to track down people just like Oogami. Pretty impressive.
Nazuna is a weird person. She's a b*tch for sure, but she keeps going through weird moods. She likes Michiru one day, dislikes her another. I just hate her ego so much. It looks like she's on good terms with Michiru though the past two episodes.
I had a feeling after watching this episode that before it even happened, the goal was to gather everyone they could within the dome, get them angry, and have them transform. It was pretty obvious that might occur and it did.
What pissed me off the most this episode is how stupid or "stubborn" as Oogami says, the beastmen are. It's insane how easily tricked they were and it pisses me off.
The next episode is the last. I know I'm missing some of the points I wanted to add to this discussion, but it's not worth the effort.
I'm sure Michiru and everyone aware of the situation will try their best to fix what happened. First, they are going to have to stop Oogami from destroying everyone. After that, they are going to need to save the people in the dome. I'm wondering what happens after that. Will Alan's plan be brought to life? Will he go to jail? Hopefully, in the last episode, we get answers.
Only one more episode left for me to watch!
Overall not a bad ending. Thanks to Michiru everything was able to go back to normal. Too lazy to go into it like I normally do, so I'll just talk about my rating for this anime.
I've decided to give it a seven out of ten. If you enjoy anime done by Trigger, you might enjoy this. It didn't have me hooked and I for sure didn't say to myself "Wow, I can't wait to watch the next episode" or "Holy cow, what a cliffhanger I need to watch the next episode". At times the anime was a bit boring. The story was slow or nothing interesting was happening.
Do note, this anime is something to sit back and relax to. Not one to be taken seriously. What do I mean by that? Why take anime seriously? Well, for those who deeply enjoy anime, there are some of you out there who are truly passionate about the anime they watch. It gives a whole meaning to those people. Rather than being "casual watchers" who just watch for fun and don't care too much about the story or characters, they just want a good past time, this is what I mean. Those who are trying to take this anime seriously shouldn't. It's something to enjoy and waste some time.
The characters were okay. Nazuna and Michiru were annoying at times and I mentioned it in various discussion posts throughout me watching this anime. In addition to Oogami, the three characters weren't outstanding, but they made this anime what they were. Additionally, I want to mention Jackie. Jackie was a funny little critter and I couldn't stop laughing at him/her.
If you like color palettes and nice shades of blue and purple you will like this anime. It had a very nice color feel to it and it was pleasing on the eyes.
The reason I am giving this anime a seven is that it wasn't very captivating. It was average. Although some might say anime is for kids, I felt like I was watching a show aimed for kids rather than young adults. That also ties in with the "sit back and relax" I mentioned earlier. If the plot was more interesting or there was some sort of pizazz added I'd make it an eight. What would that pizazz be? I'm not sure, but it lacked it for me!
Would I recommend this to anyone? Sure, why not. I'd recommend this if you are looking for something to pass the time. If you are someone who likes to critique anime like me or are very elitist you are most likely going to overjudge this anime more than it deserves.
