My current fridge is about 8 years old and pretty ugly. Should I choose
A) Faster internet that would be $6 more than I pay every month but with a free brand new fridge or washing machine. (My washing machine is ancient but still works. I don't even know how fucking old it is. I do sometimes get error messages on the spin cycle but the washing machine repair man didn't even know what to do about that.) And then I think I get locked to a higher price for two or three years after.
B) A free Amazon Prime subscription and faster internet at $20 a month less than I'm paying now.
C) Faster internet at $44.50 a month LESS than I'm paying now for 12 months BUT I'd then be locked in for another two years on internet that's $10 more than I pay a month now.
B looks like the best option. Just buy a fridge on your own. It'll cost you less in the long run.
Def go with a new fridge. New appliances can be such house warmers

Would you own the new fridge? If so, that is likely the best option. Though it also depends on the fridge. A new Samsung SS French Door fridge is like $1700.

It also depends on how long you plan on using the new fridge/internet service. Based on the $26 spread, you'd break even in 5.44 years (assuming the $1700 fridge). AFTER those 5.44 years you would have been better with option B. But if you don't plan on staying with that provider for all of those years, you'll likely be in a better position taking the fridge.

A - Depends on how expensive the fridge / washing machine, if they're going to give you a cheap model might as well go with option B which seems to be the logical choice, if in the long run you'll end up paying them more money than the appliance would cost it's better to go with option B, put the difference aside and buy new appliances when that money adds up, so that way you're technically "paying" the same amount for option A but you're keeping your consumer freedom.

$20 less a month and a free Amazon Prime subscription sounds like a great option, especially since you are saving right away and not locked into a long-term higher price.
I would def go with B. Not locked in, free prime - what could go wrong?!
An account bumped this 2020 thread yesterday and then got closed. lol In the end I ended up going with another company that was just cheaper than any of those though I was sad not getting the Amazon Prime. lol
A little late, but yeah option two seems the best.
I made this thread in 2020 why does it keep getting bumped? lol
In the end I have to tell you the boring truth was I ended up getting no gifts as I found an internet provider that gave no gifts but was cheaper than all those who did. Boo.

That was my bad, didn’t see the original post date. But I’m glad you got it figured!

A little sad I never got Prime although Prime here ONLY means the TV stuff not any other advantages because I haven't lived in the USA since I was 8.

I would say option B to help keep cost control in place.
