The end of bitcoins that can be "Mined"

So this thought just hit me a week or so ago. Let me try and break it down. 21 million bitcoins in circulation and only I think 1-2M left to be mined. Once they are all mined what do you think will happen to the price of bitcoin / how will this effect prices in your opinion? There is no unlimited supply of bitcoin past 21 million bitcoins.

Will be very interesting because ETH will always have a unlimited supply. Just curious on peoples thoughts. Musk bought a billion in bitcoin.

I would imagine the price would either skyrocket or fall. What do you guys think? / are you thinking will happen? In your opinion of course.

I think once Bitcoin has been mined completely it would be possible to extend the amount of bitcoins even further than 21 million. Now I say this as if it was an easy task, but I'm sure there's going to be some challenges for accomplishing that.

According to google the final coin will be mined in 2100. At this point I would expect it to sky rocket. Honestly by this point BTC will be passed the value of gold.

I agree, We seen it dip from 60k down to 40, but who is actually in it for the long long long term? Well obviously not everyone will be alive but the next two generations will really be interesting and the end of ours.

ETH for example will never have this problem of running out of minable coins.

100k per coin at least.
10-15% of 21m is out/lost in the circulation.

Never hesitate. You'll always regret not going for it.

Not to mention tons of people keep sending bitcoin to satoshi bitcoin address and due to a bug, none of it is spendable. What a waste of bitcoin! (over 16) It will be more valuable than gold and gas at some point, I don't think satoshi is going to come back and magically save us. It is the inevitable future, and you don't need a magic ball to see it in my opinion.

BTC might as well be infinite most of us will never see the last bitcoin mined anyways. As for ETH, the inflation will drop to near 0% to the point where infinite supply does not even matter.

Still didn't answer the question on what you think will happen to the price of BTC.

Will be the most valuable item on the planet by then. (and probably other planets too)

Some people say way sooner then that. If you look at the growth of BTC so far at around a 1 trillion marketcap. gold is sitting around 10 trillion. I can see it passing gold in the next 10-20 years.

He was correcting you. In your post you said ETH has an unlimited supply.

As for BTC it wont all of a sudden sky rocket when the last BTC is made. BTC will slowly produce less and less every halving. I feel that there will be some manipulation because if the miners aren’t getting the block rewards then they will only get fees, so it’s not an asset you buy anything cheap with.. I think BTC is definitely going to be like digital gold and will pass golds market cap within 10 years.

I've actually pondered this idea with a friend recently. I sorta think that it'll be sooner than 2100, but I guess it's just an estimate. However, I do think that the price will sky-rocket ALOT by then. People have been saying that bitcoin is just hitting an all-time high and it will drop, I don't think so.
</god>
I think it will sky rocket. Why would it drop? Supply and demand?
BTC will be store of value like is gold now, it will surpass gold cap in near decade
More the price increase it makes the non-buyable to normal people at that point it becomes the downfall of the BTC
at a certain point, many stupids will invest in some amount to make the BTC value stable and it makes inflation probably at 50% of the ATH for sure (whatever the ATH of the BTC in the future)
