I just got an HP OfficeJet Pro 8710 here to repair but somehow I can't get any further. Cartridges are HP 954.
The problem is that the original cartridges were refilled by the owner. The new cartridges, however, are equipped with newer generation chips. Of course, the printer now permanently signals that the cartridges are empty and prevents printing.
Is there any software that can reset it?
Here in the back of beyond where we are, it is not so easy to order or get a so-called resetter.
